My brother in law is high up at WB and has a very good record with info he spouts to me. Here's some Affleck related stuff POTENTIAL MINOR SPOILERS.
---The script for The Batman is not yet complete; Affleck and Johns want something special.
---The Batman likely won't be released in 2018 due to the script and the fact that WB wants to further establish the other 'Pillars' of the DCEU. They know we are already sold on Batfleck.
---Affleck and Johns have complete creative control over the film.
---Snyder contributed to the story.
---Affleck wants to and will be a active participate behind the scenes in all DCEU properties.
---Snyder, Johns, Jon Berg, and Affleck are running DC Films. Expect better, more whole films as a result of this.
THE BATMAN ---Primarily set in present day.
---Batman is refreshed, and less grizzled, carrying over from Justice League.
---The Members of the Bat-Family include Nightwing/Dick Grayson, Batgirl/Barbara Gordon (NOT Oracle), Alfred, Commissioner Gordon, and Lucius Fox.
---Tim Drake is an extremely cunning young man who is hired by Lucius Fox to work at Wayne Enterprises. That is all currently known for his role in the movie. Not important to this film, but expect Tim to be a member of the Titans.
---Superman may Cameo.
---Amanda Waller will Cameo.
---Joker will appear. He won't be prominent, as they want to slowly but surely build up his character and relationship with Batman.
---Catwoman will appear in a minor role. Bruce and her might've had a child. They are looking at "Exotic" actresses for the part.
---Nightwing is based in Blüdhaven, and has a strained relationship with both Batman and Barbara.
---Deathstroke is the main villain. I do not know his arc.
---The al Ghul's will be mentioned, laying the seeds for Damian and Jason Todd.
---Harley Quinn and Deadshot will appear.
