WHAT WILL I NEED NEW FIRMWARE TO PLAY WAVE 4 GAMES?

If you are on iXtreme 1.4 through to iXtreme 1.5
Wave3 games will not boot for you and thus Wave4 games will not either. In this case, YES you need to update your firmware! Although it is possible to patch a Wave 4 game down to a Wave 2 - although it is unrecommended as it is unsafe to play online and there is a risk you will get banned. A better option is to simply upgrade your console with the last iXtreme firmware.

Here is the patching software for iXtreme 1.5 or below

Be sure to patch it before you burn or run it though abgx360. After you have patched, run it through abgx360 and adjust the angle 359 for iXtreme 1.4 (do this for iXtreme 1.5 aswell) and then burn as normal..

If you are on iXtreme v1.51
Not all drives are compatible with 4th Wave PFI/Video. Turns out that only Hitachi iXtreme v1.51 will boot 4th Wave backups, and BenQ/LiteOn/Samsung iXtreme v1.51 will NOT boot 4th Wave. It would have been fully compatible if only the Video data had changed but not with the change in PFI (capacity).
So currently the only safe option for booting 4th Wave backups on a BenQ/LiteOn/Samsung drive is to use iXtreme v1.6 and the activation disc.

As I mentioned before - there is also an unsafe way patch a Wave 4 game to make playbale on iXtreme 1.51 (non-Hitachi) ..

If you are on iXtreme 1.6
You can play Wave 4 games, however you need to use a special activation disk to do so (ALTHOUGH STRANGLELY THIS RELEASE OF MODERN WARFARE 2 SEEMS TO WORK WITHOUT THE ACTIVATION DISK.) This was added to the firmware specifically for this eventuality - the disk activates "one-shot-boot" mode, essentially it allows iX1.6 to boot any game you insert into the drive, even if its not properly stealthed. You simply insert the disk into the drive, let it spin up (it will say "play DVD"), then swap in your Wave4 game. You will need to do this each time you want to play a Wave 4 (or above) game. Don't worry, if the game has all the necessary stealth data, then iX1.6 will still use it, so if you boot a VERIFIED Wave4 game using this method, you should be just as safe as you were booting a verified wave 3 game.

ACTIVATION DISC

The Activation.iso needs to be burned to a DUAL LAYER disk, but entirely on the first layer (do not set a layerbreak and when imgburn prompts, tell it to burn to the first layer only).

1: Open up Activate.iso with any burning software you use. (I.E. Imgburn, Clonecd, etc… I personally use Imgburn… )

2: Now in your burning program go into your write setting tab and make sure your layerbreak is set to the Calculate Optimal setting. Also check your booktype for DVD+R DL and make sure its on the DVD-ROM setting and that your write speed is at 2.4x.

3: Start Burn!

4: As soon as the burn starts a message will pop saying, “that the image is small enough for a regular DVD R, do you want to continue anyway?”
(You wanna choose yes because if you burnto a regular DVDR the Activate.iso wont work!!!)

5: Next another message will pop saying, “even though the image is small enough to fit into one layer its best to write in both layers, do wou wanna go away from the norm and write in only one layer?”

Choose “Yes” - to cause all data to be written into the first layer.

6: It will burn - then you're done!

Chú là chú ko nắm rõ thông tin gì cả. Nói thế này cho mọi ng dễ hiểu.
Trên xbox 360, có thể tạo 2 loại gametag, 1 là gametag để chơi live và 1 là gametag chuyên để chơi off.

Gametag mà để chơi live, khi rút dây mạng ra, chơi bất cứ game gì, nó sẽ lưu lại, chỉ cần cắm dây mạng vào là mọi thông tin trên máy sẽ đc update lên srever của 360 với đầy đủ thông tin về ach với cả time play. Vì thế chơi COD 6 trên nick live mà rut dây mạng ra thì sau đó nguy cơ tử vong cũng khá cao.

Còn loại GT off, tạo ra ko phải để chơi live, thì có chơi bất cứ game gì đi chăng nữa, kể cả cắm dây mạng, nó cũng ko update thông tin lên srever của 360. Vì thế, ai muốn chơi COD6 sớm thì tạo 1 GT off rồi chơi, an toàn 100%

All the newest games for XBOX360 have the new Wave4 video partition, which means people with 1.51 firmwares cant play with them safely. So heres a little software to patch these games back to Wave 3.

Edit your settings to match these, Some will already be set as default on your initial install and some wont. Remember to click File>Save Settings then choose "Default" to make these your default settings or save as a new setting if you wish to.

RED = Required
BLUE = Optional / Dependant on Firmware version.

Autofix Threshold:
Level 2 = Only use this level if you do your own game rips.
Level 3 = Use this option if you have downloaded your game.

Adjust Angle 359 (BAD KREON):
This is not required if you have ixtreme v1.4 or above as its already incorporated into the firmware. But if you also prefer to fix problems at disc level or if you do copies for other people and are not sure what firmware they have then enabling it is also fine.

Region Code:
This optional setting is for you to set the regions that your console(s) will play, For example if you are a UK user you would select both Europe and AUS/NZ.

SplitVid:
This settings is required for people who dont have iXtreme firmware but is also optional for people that do have iXtreme.

Select the .ISO/.000 file:

Hit launch.

If you wish to check already burned DVD's, simply change the dropdown from "Files" to "Burned DVD".

Will I need a new firmware to play Wave 4 games?
================

A new iXtreme firmware will eventually be released with strict wave4 support (no activation disk needed), however some time needs to pass before this happens. Although Cars: Race-o-Rama was the first game to appear in the wild with Wave 4 video, it was not necessarily the first game to be pressed with it. Also, during a wave transition there are often a few exceptions to the process which also need to be known about. There will be no timeframe for this, so do not ask.
