Konami has confirmed that it is working on a Vita version of its long-running football series Pro Evolution Soccer

Though it may not be out in time to coincide with the release of Pro Evolution Soccer 2013.

"We're not saying that we're not going to have PES on the Vita forever" producer Naoya Hatsumi said when asked by Eurogamer why a Vita version was yet to be confirmed. "We're working on development for a Vita version, of course, but it may not happen for PES 2013."

PES 2013 has been confirmed for various platforms, including the PS2 and PSP, although there's been no mention of versions for either the Vita or the Wii U.

"In the wider sense, we're looking into the future of the Pro Evolution Soccer series, and we think people's lifestyles have changed rapidly," Hatsumi continued. "People used to sit in front of a TV, in front of a console and play our game using a controller - that was the norm.

"But that's been changing quite rapidly, and people no longer just use the console to access the game, because you are using your iPhone, for example, or a tablet. So much more, people have potential access to our game if we have it on those devices. That's the future, and that's how we can expand the series. Vita is one of them, but it's not the only option that we should go for. That's our basic idea."

The developer behind Tales from Space: Mutant Blobs Attack is back with another PSN title for the PlayStation 3 and Vita.

DrinkBox Studios has started to pull back the curtain on “Guacamelee!”, the company’s “Mexican-themed co-op-multiplayer dimension-swapping Metroid-vania beat-em-up platformer”.

The following blurb regarding the game’s story was provided on the PlayStation Blog:

“Set in a world inspired by Mexican culture, Guacamelee! features a down-on-his-luck agave farmer named Juan Aguacate, who sets out to save the world when El Presidente’s Daughter is kidnapped by an Evil Charro Skeleton. The story takes place in and around a small village in Mexico, and has the player travelling through “The World of the Living” and “The World of the Dead” on his quest to rescue the girl he loves.”

Guacamelee! will be playable on the PlayStation 3 and Vita next week at E3 2012.

Spy Hunter reboot announced for Vita

Warner Bros. is bringing the classic Spy Hunter series to PlayStation Vita and 3DS in a new reboot scheduled to launch this fall. TT Fusion, developer of the LEGO series games (LEGO Harry Potter, LEGO Star Wars, etc.) is behind the project.

The new Spy Hunter promises to be the “most thrilling and dangerous ride yet.” Players take on the role of “Agent,” driver of the high-tech G-6155 Interceptor supercar, tasked with taking out a global terrorist organization using the vehicle’s high-tech weaponry.

Players will be able to upgrade and customize the Interceptor with new weapons and gadgets as they progress. The car will transform from supercar to offroad assault vehicle to boat “seamlessly.” An unmanned aerial drone will join Agent for the first time, allowing players to plan their attacks accordingly. The game also features a slow motion camera system.

“Spy Hunter’s classic gameplay has been upgraded to give PlayStation Vita and 3DS players a new, adrenaline-charged experience,” said Samantha Ryan, Senior Vice President, Production and Development, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. “Gamers now have more choice in the transformation and customization with greater hand controls, brilliant graphics and enhanced action cameras.”

New Little King’s Story announced for U.S.

Konami is bringing Marvelous Entertainment’s Little King’s Story sequel, New Little King’s Story, to U.S. shores as a downloadable title this summer.

The game was previously announced for a European release, and is already available in Japan. It follows the story of King Corobo, tasked with reclaiming his kingdom from an invader called ‘The Nightmare.’ As Corobo, players must save the populace and fight to regain the empire.

PlayStation Vita's Nico Nico video app will be getting some company next month. Sony Computer Entertainment announced today that a YouTube app will be released for the system as a free download in late June.

The Vita YouTube app will have many of the viewing features YouTube users should be familiar with, including search, commenting, favorites, and access to your YouTube account. Sony provided a few screens showing the Vita interface:
YouTube joins Vita apps for such services as Skype, FourSquare and Twitter.

The Nico Nico video app was released by Niwango opposite the system's launch last year. Nico Nico has been updating its app periodically and will eventually enable uploads of gameplay footage and live video broadcasts.

Rumor: Medal of Honor: Warfighter on the way to Vita

The latest Medal of Honor could be heading to the PlayStation Vita based on a new retailer finding.

ShopTo has located a listing for Medal of Honor: Warfighter on French retailer site CDiscount. The page says it’ll be available in October when the console/PC versions launch.

If this is actually happening, EA will probably have something to say during E3 this coming week.

Sony considered “Forsaken Souls” as localized title for Soul Sacrifice

Sony’s recent “Forsaken Souls” domain registration was related to Soul Sacrifice after all.

Responding to a question about the name, Sony’s Olivier Banal wrote on the European PlayStation Blog:

“‘Forsaken Souls’ was a regional WIP title. The game will be distributed in Japan, North America and Europe under the name of ‘Soul Sacrifice’.”

And so the Forsaken Souls rumor saga comes to an end…

Assassin’s Creed III is coming to Vita, but it isn’t the same title as the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii U, and PC version. The latest Game Informer has revealed a spinoff for Sony’s handheld, subtitled “Liberation”.

It probably will not work and like what WES mentioned, I believe it requires that dongle.

The PS3 has bluetooth already, so if you were able to pair it without the dongle, then I would say it is possible on the Vita but since you need the dongle, not likely.

Besides, you wouldn't be able to take advantage of 7.1 audio from the Vita anyway.

There are really good bluetooth stereo headsets that do pair with the Vita however. Like the Dre Beats wireless. It also has a mic on the left ear cup.

Không... E3 năm nay dù có muốn hay không thì xác định chắc chắn là của Wii U rồi... Vita chỉ là kẻ xếp thứ 2 thôi, chưa kể theo những gì M$ pre-show những hãng sẽ góp mặt giới thiệu game cho XB360 thì Vita có khi còn thấp cổ bé họng hơn... Nghĩ đến E3 năm nay là ai cũng muốn xem Wii U trình diễn thực sự nó thế nào. Từ hồi xem E3 2008 đến 2010 ko xem Nin con, nhưng E3 năm trước (và năm nay là chắc chắn) sẽ là 1 ngoại lệ...
