█ Game of Thrones Saga █ A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms (18/01/2026) - HBO Max

So here are a few things which are interesting about the waif.

  1. She is only seen by either Jaqen H'ghar or by Arya.
  2. She has a very incredible back story, much like Mercy or Cat of the Canals.
  3. She know's what Arya is doing, all the time. She knows when she lies. She can tell where she is.
  4. She tries to force Arya to leave. She makes her insecure.
So here's my theory, get some tinfoil..

The waif is Arya. Arya is suffering from some sort of bi-polar dissociative identity disorder. A case can be made that when Arya came to the House of Black and White, the water that she drank induced this in her. In a way, The Waif is no one. Her only mission is to kill off Arya, the inner Arya, the one who can never be one of them.

This is why Jaqen H'ghar always wants the Waif to leave the room before he begins talking to Arya. He essentially wants Arya to stop behaving in a dual personality manner. He just wants to talk to Arya. So the Waif leaves. Just when Arya is alone, she appears again.

When the waif asks Jaqen H'ghar, "You PROMISED", it's actually Arya. Arya has finally asked to kill her inner self. Al lot of people have observed that Jaqen H'ghar looks a bit pleased with himself when he permits the Waif.

Hết time travel, time loop.

GRRM has mentioned that in "The wind of winter" we'll learn a bit more about White Walkers and their culture and stuff, and he has implied that they are not pure evil - that's humanity's impression of them. Remember that the white walkers are originally humans who were turned by the cotf to protect themselves from humans. Right now it looks like they went all - Ultron on the Children of the Forest, but I doubt that's the entire story (would be very disappointing to end a series that subverts every trope with the biggest trope of all).

If we consider the possibility that the White Walker have an agenda other than just total annihilation, its possible that Euron Greyjoy (who is a Ramsey-level psychopath with 2 decades of additional experience, has seen the world and belongs to a culture that literally endorses murder as the only way to take something - remember Balon asks Theon is he paid the gold price or the iron for his finery...) represents evil in humanity, and the WW are sort of like a reset button for the world (not because they win, necessarily, but because they force the people to stop fighting over bullshit and start uniting for what matters).

Do you ever think even someone like Cersei would "put aside her petty dislike for someone like Margaery if she saw a horde of white-walkers invading the Red Keep?"

I think we're going to see a lot of "enemies" joining forces to stop the white-walkers as well by time the story ends. But who knows, maybe Jaime will have to kill Cersei, fulfilling Maggie's prophecy, because she's just too far gone mentally to realize the entire world is at stake to put aside her vendettas. (Which is going off on another tangent entirely I realize...)

http://variety.com/2016/tv/news/game-of-thrones-end-date-season-8-1201752746/

In an exclusive interview with Variety, showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss said they are weighing wrapping up the Emmy-winning saga of Westeros and the battle for the Iron Throne with just 13 more episodes once this sixth season is over: seven episodes for season 7 (chỉ 7 tập cho season 7 thay vì 10:6cool_beat_brick::6cool_beat_brick::6cool_beat_brick::6cool_beat_brick::6cool_ah::6cool_ah::6cool_ah::6cool_ah:); six for the eighth and potential final season.
