Dựa theo nhan đề bộ phim nổi tiếng "Thượng đế cũng phải cười"...he he thì topic này có gì mới nào.

Gắn mod-chip để chơi game chép thực sự đã rất phổ biến, đến nỗi 1 số nước còn cho đó là hợp pháp (tuy nhiên game chép thì muôn thuở là hàng cấm), Bill chắc cũng không ngạc nhiên gì cho lắm. Mod-chip thực sự chỉ làm một việc phụ, nhưng khá quan trọng đối với dân ta là đọc những đọan mã mà với máy zin thì nó bỏ qua. OK như vậy là tạm ổn.

Soft-mod là khái niệm khác, có thể hiểu là phần mềm để giả lập mod-chip, kết quả cuối cùng là chơi game chép mà trong máy không có gắn mod-chip. Dù không phải mới nhưng nó ít thông dụng vì cách làm phức tạp.

Vào khoảng trung tuần tháng 3/2004, xuất hiện khái niệm "cao cấp" hơn, Auto-Installer do bác Yoshihiro giới thiệu, nghe thì có vẻ khó tin nhưng thực sự là có thể.

PBL and st.db are automatically put in the e:\TDADA\fffe0000\music\ directory without FTP connection.

Needed to use the save:
- Mechassault game
- MS memory card or Mega-X-Key
- XBox :)

!!! CAUTION !!!

Depending on your EvoX/Kernel version :

PBL 1.4 Audio Hack or EvoX Audio Hack will not work with 5659 dash.
-]Install an older version of your dashboard if you want tu use this Save Hack.

PBL 1.4 will not work with 5530 kernel
-]Just use EvoX Audio Hack

Concerning XBox Crystal Limited Edition, it seems that the save can be launched, but installation on HDD doesn't work.

First of all, copy the save on the memory card.
Boot the XBox without game in the drive, go to MS dashboard, and copy the save from memory card to HDD.
Once it's done, remove the memory card.
Launch the game, and load the save from HDD.
EvolutionX should launch with 4 options:

Go to 2) and select Phoenix to install PBL via Audio Hack.
Then install EvoX or UnleashX. It will be installed on C: so be carfull for XBoxLive.
Once it's done, reboot your XBox without game in the drive.
1 - Go in "Music" and select the ligne under "Audio CD" where nothing is written.
2 - In the new menu, select "Copy" ...
3 - "Copy" again
4 - "News soundtrack"
5 - Don't write anything, just "finish".
4 - That's all :)

Comment installer la sauvegarde :

- par FTP : d�zipper "Part1" et "Part2"
=] vous obtenez un dossier "UDATA" contenant 2 sous-dossiers : "5553000c" et "21585554e.
Trnafs�rez tout simplement ces 2 dossiers sur E:\UDATA\.

- avec le logiciel Datel Action Replay : ne d�zippez pas "Part1" et "Part2",
transf�rez-les tels quels (datel Action Replay ne prend que les sauvegardes zipp�es).
Sur votre carte m�moire, vous obtiendrez 2 sauvegardes ("Install Linux" et "Linux Profile")
que vous devez copier toutes 2 sur le disque dur de la XBox.

NB : assurez-vous d'avoir supprim� toute sauvegarde de Splinter Cell sur votre XBox
avant de copie celles-ci, sans quoi elles ne fonctionneront pas.

Utilisation :

Une fois la sauvegarde charg�e, vous arriverez sur un menu avec les choix suivants :

- Entrer
- Eteindre la XBox

Choisissez "entrer", les fichiers n�cessaires � l'utilisation de la sauvegarde seront alors d�compress�s
et vous arriverez sur un nouveau menu avec les choix suivants :

- Backup fichiers systeme : cette option copiera le contenu de votre partition C
sur E:\Backup\Partition_C. Vous pouvez bien entendu
faire ce backup vous-m�me par FTP, mais si vous n'avez
pas de PC � disposition je vous le conseille, en cas
de probl�me il est bon d'avoir un backup (de plus,
cela vous permettra d'utliser l'optioin "Restaurer
fichiers d'origine disponible plus loin).

- Backup de l'eeprom : cette option lancera un "mini-evox" qui vous permettra de
faire un backup de l'eeprom (et aussi d'informations sur votre$
disque dur, ainsi que du bios d'origine). Ces informations
seront copi�es sur E:\Backup\backup\. Je vous conseille de
copier ce dossier sur votre PC par FTP si vous en avez la possibilit�.

- Installer UXE sur Xbox 1.0 a 1.5 : cette option installera automatiquement l'exploit UXE sur votre
XBox avec le bios X2 4981 (qui fonctionne sur toutes les xbox jusqu'�
la version 1.5 incluse).

- Installer UXE sur XBox 1.6 : m�me chose, mais avec le bios Evox M8+ (fonctionne sur xbox 1.6). Il est � noter
que ce bios marche aussi sur les versions ant�rieures, mais son utilisation
n'est pas recommand�e sur ces versions de XBox.

- Menu "options" :

- Vider le cache : il arrive parfois que l'UXE fonctionne mal apr�s installation.
Vider le cache peut pallier � ce probl�me.

- Restaurer fichiers d'origine : n'utilisez cette option que si vous avez fait un "backup
fichiers systeme" avant d'installer l'UXE, car elle
utilise le dossier E:\Backup\Partition_C" cr�� � l'occasion.
Cela remettra votre XBox "comme neuve", ce qui peut �tre utile
pour jouer sur le Live par exemple.

- Compresser la sauvegarde : permet de r�duire la taille de la sauvegarde afin de la copier ensuite
sur une carte m�moire.

- Explorer le disque dur : n'utilisez cette option que si vous savez ce que vous faites. Vous pourrez
effacer, renommer... des fichiers ou dossiers. Une mauvaise manipulation et
votre XBox peut �tre en rade !


NB : * une fois l'UXE install�, vous pourrez � tout moment recharger la sauvegarde (sans avoir � mettre le
jeu dans la XBox) en allant dans "Parametres"=] "Lancer UXE installer".

* Cette sauvegarde vous donne un acc�s FTP au disque dur de votre XBox avec l'adresse IP "192.168.0.7".

Auto-installer thì đơn giản hơn nhưng cần đĩa zin hoặc là dĩa đúc (không chắc về dĩa đúc cho lắm; nếu mà xbox không cần dùng modchip mà vẫn chơi nó được thì OK và hiện tại có 3 games làm được: Mech Assault 1 lọai non-platinum edition, 007 Agent Under Fire và Splinter Cell) cộng với xbox memory/game save module hoặc ActionReplay. Tải auto-installer về, transfer vô memory module. Boot bằng một trong ba dĩa games zin trên xong load cái game save rồi làm theo chỉ dẫn trên màn ảnh. Chỉ vài phút là xong xuôi, lấy dĩa game ra và reboot, voila, UnleashX. Cách này thì nhanh và tiện nhất trên đời, không còn gì dễ hơn, rất thích hợp cho n00bies, không cần phải mở ốc hay hot swap HDD.

Chìa khóa nằm trong tay mỗi gamer chứ không phải là technician, yêu cầu cần có để làm: DVD zin 1 trong 3 game, mem-card và yếu tố thứ 3 là làm sao nhét "cái thứ kỳ diệu" (dung lượng chỉ 3,5Mb) vô cái mem-card (vd: quen biết với 1 người có thể connect XBox-PC để trans file vô ổ O (ổ của memcard). Cách làm này có lẽ đã truyền tay khắp EU. Còn VN, các bác sẽ phản ứng như thế nào? Liệu Bill Gates có phát khóc không? (chỉ nói theo nghĩa hình tượng)

Vậy là bác chưa phân biệt được, soft-mod kiểu auto-installer này có chức năng hạn chế hơn so với gắn mod-chip, tuy nhiên nếu chỉ chơi game chép không thôi thì không thành vấn đề. Có gì mà VN lại làm cái auto-installer này không được, vô www.itgvn.com mà check, bác cứ cho tui địa chỉ 1 cái máy XBox zin trong TPHCM, tui sẽ làm cho.

It is compatible with all the versions of XBox until today (1.6b included/understood). ___________________________________________________________________________________________ How to install the safeguard: - by ftp: dézipper "Part1" and "Part2" = > you obtain a file "UDATA" containing 2 under-files: "5553000c" and "2158555ê. Trnafsérez quite simply these 2 files on E:\UDATA \. - with the software Datel Replay Action: do not dézippez "Part1" and "Part2", transfer them just as they are (datel Action Replay takes only the zippées safeguards).
