No World War II for Call of Duty 5?
See Full Image During a conference with stockholders and analysts, Mike Griffith, Publishing CEO of Activision, all but confirmed the next Call of Duty game. He had dropped some choice words, as well as surprises, regarding the fifth Call of Duty game.
Interestingly enough, Call of Duty 5 will not be exclusive to just the powerhouse consoles, but will also be available on the PlayStation 2, Nintendo Wii, and Nintendo DS, on top of the PS3, X360, and PC. For the next-gen consoles, and PC, it will still be powered by Call of Duty 4's fantastic engine, and that's a big relief.
As far as the game's setting, Griffith described it as "new military theater", and that's anyone's guess as far as what it could mean. Moreover, contrary to the World War II rumors that have been surrounding Call of Duty 5, Griffith hinted at something else. Whatever it is, we sure hope that it has us nowhere near Europe or Russia.
