u can play online using tunggle
DOWNLOAD TUNGGLE

download and install tunngle (make a tunngle account)
2. reboot pc
3. run tunngle and login
4. go to Strategy > browse Heroes of Newerth > double click it
5. When at the Heroes of Newerth tunngle chat, run Heroes of Newerth on desktop and play...
6. You can ask for ip address so u can join their game through ip...
