I ask for help I guess I catch a virus :(

Hi

I am a stupid person when it comes to PC stuff. I will write you about what happened. Yesterday I sent an im to somebody I know well. He sent me a hyperlink to something weird clip. I have opened it and downloaded a codec needed to watch the movie, it went ok but after an hour or so I got many popups with banners all over my desktop :(

Any advice any of you?
