Fần này nghe nói lôi nhìu nv trong game vô lắm, đọc trên wiki nó nói vậy nhưng o có nhắc tới Ada...bùn 5s...phần này vẫn way ở Alaska với Toronto của US và ở Japan là Tokyo, dự kiến ngày xuất xưởng là 17/9/2010

Casting Resident Evil: Afterlife

No secret that today's been a tough one. We know lots of you had problems getting to the site. So let's wind down with a game of what-if, casting the next Resident Evil film.

The Bits, Bytes, Pixels and Sprites takes a look at who'd be best for the fourth installment of the franchise, which, as video game movies go, has sucked less than the norm. Then again, Uwe Boll does blow the curve on that.

Chris Evans, (above) aka Johnny Storm from the (to use a Stan Lee favorite, yeccch) Fantastic Four series is their Redfield choice; Karen Dyer, who voiced Sheva Alomar in the game, is the no-brainer for that role. Kelly Hu is shrewdly chosen for Ada Wong, based on past video game work and some strikingly good looks.

Chew it over, mull it, or just flame it to death. Whatever, there's gonna be another Resident Evil film, and as past efforts have shown, these things don't act themselves.

On December 19 2008, director Paul W.S. Anderson told IGN that he is currently working on the script for the next Resident Evil film: ”Everyone at Capcom has had their input into the idea and they're all very excited. I don't want to tell you what it is but it's very exciting." Anderson told the site. "The game is constantly [evolving] and so is the movie franchise. We're doing it very much in conjunction with the developers of the videogame to give the audience something fresh but something that fits within the world of the videogame."

On January 29 2009, Arrow in the Head News reported that Paul W.S. Anderson is nearly finished with the script for Afterlife and is currently on draft two. The article claims that Anderson is writing but will not direct. The story is more in tune with Apocalypse in terms of style but with better dialogue and a darker tone. There's enough hand to hand combat in the script for them to bring in a martial arts choreographer (most likely for a Alice vs Wesker fight). The story reportedly takes place in Tokyo and Alaska (with Toronto standing in for Alaska). Patrick Tatopoulos will return and be in charge of the creature effects while Michael Lantieri will be the new Special FX supervisor (in terms of the practical effects). Casting will start before any more changes are made to the script, and they plan on securing a director once Milla Jovovich officially signs on.

Release date: September 17, 2010 Resident Evil: Afterlife will be filmed in 3-D Interview with Paul W.S. Anderson from Comic-Con in San Diego, July 23, 2009 from IGN. Director Paul W.S. Anderson spoke to IGN about what's happening with Resident Evil: Afterlife (December 18, 2008): "I'm writing a script right now. The script side is happening. It's going to be difficult what's happening when until the whole SAG thing is resolved. But that's something I'm working on right now. Everyone at [game developer] Capcom has had their input into the idea and they're all very excited. I don't want to tell you what it is but it's very exciting. Once again we're doing it completely with the blessing of the videogame company. We got a lot of flack [on the sequels] for, 'Why isn't the movie set in the mansion just exactly like the very first videogame?' That's just not progression for me. As the Resident Evil videogames themselves have developed in leaps and bounds -- it's like when we did the last movie people were like, 'Resident Evil doesn't take place in the desert. What the (expletive) is this?' Well, where does Resident Evil take place? Does it take place in Raccoon City exclusively? Well, I don't think so because the game has been in Antarctica, in Raccoon City, now it's in Africa. The game is constantly and so is the movie franchise. We're doing it very much in conjunction with the developers of the videogame to give the audience something fresh but something that fits within the world of the videogame." The filmmaker wouldn't spill the beans on whether Resident Evil: Afterlife would center on Milla Jovovich's Alice or Ali Larter's Claire Redfield. "I can't say right now," he said, then laughed, "I'm no more secretive than Capcom. I was having a meeting with Capcom and I asked about the future of the Umbrella Corporation. 'The Umbrella Corporation has many secrets.'
