Nếu bạn chưa biết thì The Typing of the Dead: Overkill là một bản làm lại của tựa game The House of the Dead: Overkill. Trong game bạn sẽ phải dùng bàn phím gõ đúng các câu, từ khoá xuất hiện trên màn hình trong thời gian nhanh nhất để tiêu diệt bọn zombie, chứ không phải nhấp đến hư chuột để bắn và nạp đạn như truyền thống của The House of The Dead. Trước đó, Sega cũng đã tung ra các gói cập nhật dành cho game đó là Shakepeare, Filth và Valentine’s Day, mỗi gói đều có các câu, từ ứng với từng chủ đề.
