"Các đề cử công bố hôm 17/7 (giờ địa phương). Ngoài hạng mục Phim tài liệu xuất sắc, The Greatest Night in Pop của Bảo Nguyễn (Việt Nam) nhận đề cử Đạo diễn xuất sắc cho phim tài liệu và Biên tập âm thanh xuất sắc cho phim phi hư cấu (nonfiction). Đạo diễn cho biết: "Êkíp chúng tôi vỡ òa khi tôi được xướng tên cùng hạng mục với các đạo diễn uy tín khác".
Bên cạnh hạng mục phim tài liệu, ban tổ chức công bố các đề cử quan trọng khác. Trong đó, loạt phim Shogun dẫn đầu với 25 đề cử. Nội dung lấy cảm hứng từ tiểu thuyết cùng tên của nhà văn James Clavell, lấy bối cảnh trước trận chiến Sekigahara năm 1600.
Giới chuyên môn đánh giá series truyền tải tinh thần võ sĩ đạo, thể hiện sự phức tạp của xã hội Nhật Bản thời phong kiến. Ở bản phim năm 2024, vai trò của các nhân vật người Nhật được thể hiện có chiều sâu, cho thấy mưu trí của nhân vật chính, thay vì thiên về góc nhìn của người phương Tây như ở phiên bản truyền hình năm 1980."

Nhìn thật kỹ thì biết không phải quay ở Nhật, các cảnh rừng cây lá kim cứ như là quay ở 1 nước ôn đới nào đó ở châu Âu chứ phong cảnh thiên nhiên không phải ở Nhật

Cốt truyện đại loại kiểu khắc hoạ mối quan hệ Oda Nobunaga vs mấy tướng lĩnh bên dưới như Hideyoshi, Tokugawa vs Akechi Mitsuhide. Khắc hoạ Oda như thằng tâm thần vs lý do tại sao lại bị úp sọt bị phản sau này. Style đi theo kiểu cà rỡn vs châm biếm.
Nói chung coi cái style 100% của người Nhật, coi éo thẩm dc nổi..nó cứ kỳ kỳ cái kiểu gì. Y như cái của nợ Shogun này
