Ys X Nordics summary:
- Heroine named Carja Balta is the only daughter of the leader of the "Balta Navy", an armed fleet of Normans. Despite of her looks, she wields her axe and shield fiercely in battle.
- She is feared among the inhabitants and her title is Pirate Princess.
- Adol and Carja will be put into a situation where they have to act together in the prologue of the game. This encounter between the two of them will be depicted in the game.
- The game triggers "Action Events" on certain situations, where the camera and the surroundings changes dynamically according to the players actions; giving the player the feeling of being fully immersed in the combat itself.
- Special moves can be learned by opening treasure chests found while on exploration or by triggering events in the storyline, including gliding through scenes on skateboards, shooting thread-like objects to leap over cliffs, and so on.
- In Solo mode, the player's uncontrolled character will follow the current character's movements, and when encountering enemies, he/she will launch attacks, skills, and evades on their own discretion.
