Lets say I want to make my Gnome Rogue that I never play on into a Tauren Rogue.
1. Go to the character selection screen (it appears when you log in).
2. Make a level 1 Tauren.
3. Log in on the Tauren and experience the opening video.
4. Log out and your level 1 Tauren.
5. Now click on the Gnome Rogue on the character selection screen and then hover your mouse-arrow over the Tauren.
6. QUICKLY left click the tauren and then like half a second after press enter.
Your Gnome should now appear as a Tauren.
If you have a level 80 hunter like I do, then your gear will also be saved on another character. So a level 1 can wear my TotC gear but its VISUALS only.
Combat sounds stays the same too.
Regardless, its extremly cool if you want to test out the new race/class combinations before Cataclysm.
This is also on live and has probably existed since release O.o
