Download Mozilla Firefox. Goto
http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/ and click "Free Download" on the right; top for US English, bottom for British English. I actually use this as my default browser. It is more secure than IE, and has the ever so useful tabbing feature. One drawdown is that a handful of sites, especially Microsoft cursing.gif , restric some features for use with IE only, but this can be oversome with a quick and temporary switch over to IE.
Step 2
Download the SwiftTabs extention for Firefox. Goto
https://addons.mozilla.org/extensions/moreinfo.php?id=380 from your Firefox browser, scroll down, click "Install Now" and restart Firefox (close and reopen all active Firefox windows). This extension lets you assign custom tab-controller buttons. You'll see why we need it later.
Step 3
Download the Adblock extention for Firefox. Goto
https://addons.mozilla.org/extensions/moreinfo.php?id=10 from your Firefox browser, scroll down, click "Install Now" and restart Firefox (close and reopen all active Firefox windows). This extension lets you block advertisements from sites. I use it to block that advertisment bar on the right of the screen, which takes oh-so-long to load every time you open a new page.
Step 4
Configure settings for Firefox and extensions.
* From Firefox click Tools -> Options -> Advanced -> Tabbed Browsing -> Uncheck "Select new tabs opened from links" -> OK.
* For SwiftTabs, click (in Firefox) Tools -> Extentions -> SwiftTabs -> Options. Set this as you feel convienient. Personally, I use the Page Up for previous tab and Page Down for next tab.
* For Adblock, goto any DarkThrone page with the advertisment on the right and click the text "Adblock" at the right of the status bar (bottom) of the browser. In the window that pops up, scroll down until you see a URL that does not begin with
http://www.darkthrone.com/, select it, and click OK. If there are several, block them all.
Step 5
Goto DarkThrone's Official Recruiter page from your Firefox browser. Then hover your mouse over the Community - Recruiter button, such that the mouse cursor for links appears. Hold ctrl and click on the recruiter button. Keep doing this until about 5-10 times for each tab you want to open. How many tabs to open is really dependant on the speed of your computer and connection. I use 8. At this point, it is advisable that you disable the loading of images in Firefox. Do this by going to Tools -> Options -> Web Features. Uncheck Load Images. Remember to check this option again after you finish your 350 clicks for the day.
Step 6
You can now start clicking. Since the images are disabled now, you just need to click the image placeholder that appears where "Recruit" used to. Click, PageDown, Click, PageDown, Click, PageDown...you get the point. I recommend you keep your eye on the icon on the tab you are up to. While that tab is loading, there will be a swirl of sorts. When it stops is when it is safe to Click, PageDown.
Are you even lazier than this? If you have a number pad on your keyboard (not the one along the top) and have access to the Control Panel of your computer, goto your computer's Control Panel -> Accessibility Options -> Mouse -> Check "MouseKeys" -> Settings -> Highest "Top Speed" and "Accelleration" -> Select "Off" -> Check Show MouseKey status on screen -> OK -> OK. Now turn off NumLock, and instead of clicking the link, you can just use the "5" button on the number pad. Slightly faster than with mouse.
With this, you should be able to click all 350 times in under 10 minutes, maybe even 5 (I haven't timed it yet). The 10 or 20 minutes it takes to read this, and follow the instructions is worth the time saved in just a few days.
