This question has lately been the most frequently asked one, Ive seen it come up at least once a week. So I've decided to make a long review, to help yyj buyers pick the right celecon yoyo for them.
( pics: dull pink: Kickside, yellow: Lyn fury, shiny pink: speedmaker )
First off: Shape.
As you can see in the pic, the shapes are alike, but yet different. The speedmaker is obviously the odd one, it has a more sleek, "pointyish" if you will, shape, as opposed to more roundish. The lyn and kickside look alike. They are about the same shape, though the kickside is more curvy the whole way, but the lyn curves out and then flattens at the top. I guess you could say the kickside is " fatter ".
Next: Width.
Again, the speedmaker is odd one, it is definitely narrower than the other two.
Diameters:
KS: 2.125"
LF: 2.125"
SM: 2.125"
These yoyos all have the same diameter.
Width:
SM: 1.5"
KS: 1.625"
Lyn: 1.625''
So, as you can see by the 2 measurments, these 3 yoyo's are almost identical, except for the shapes.

Next: Response.
This is where a lot of the decision making comes in.Response. The kickside and speedmaker share the same response, hybrid. Hybrid, meaning theres is one o-ring, and one side od starbursts. The Lyn, however, has dual o-ring response. Out of the box, both are generally responsive. Out of the box, the dual o-ring tends to be more "grabby" and "snaggy" than the hybrid. But after time the orings will wear down, and making it become more and more unresponsive. Out of the box, the hybrid is responsive too, but to me it feels more smooth responsive, as opposed to the grabby dual oring. The starbursts, over time too will wear down, and added to a broken in bearing, both yoyo's will become pretty unresponsive. Noobies tend to prefer the dual oring more, as it is more tug responsive, as veterans, like both. Its more a preference thing, response is.
4th: On the string.
These yoyo's are some of my favorite ever. They all play very smooth, I love the yyj response, and the shapes. All 3 yoyo's are incredible for string tricks. They can spin just as long as metal yoyo's, and hit the same long combos as metals. Unbelieveable if you ask me. I also like these yoyos for 5a, because of the relaible response. I would not probably use these for 4a, because they are quite small. 2a, not using them is a no brainer. And 3a, a pair of any of these will suit you perfectly. There are 2 small con's I can think of for these yoyo's. Lack of thumb grind area, and the surface. There is no groove for ring grinds, and it slides off of the thumb easily. Also, unless you have really smooth skin, celecon is not the best grinding surface. I dont know if you can see it in my pics, but I have satinized me kickside, and it grinds a lot better.
Weight:
LF: 66grams.
KS: 67 grams
SM: 63 grams
All these yoyo's have the ideal weight for tricks, I like them all, but I personally like lighter yoyo's, so i like the speedmaker.
5th and last: Overall.
Are they worth the 15$?, you might ask. YES! These yoyos are amazizizizng.
They are outstanding for anyone that is new, or a long time veteran of yoyoing, looking to get a new yoyo.
I personally like the speedmaker the best, just in case you would like to know.
Well, I hope you have found this review to be helpful.
Thanks for reading!
