That's because you didn't listen to the right song ;))
My teacher used to tell me that guitar is for poor ppl,because it's very easy to have a guitar and practice it whereas it costs you a fortune to own a violin or a piano :)

There is a musician but I don't remember his name who change many violin and piano songs to guitar versions. I would love to say yes if I remember.
