Hello everybody,

I am trying to get 6.5 Ielts result before June 2011 to study in New Zealand. I have studied English for 2 years in VATC (Vietnam American training center) in HCMC and got 45 tofle ibt result.

Now, i live in Hanoi and could anybody give me any information about where and which one i should study ? I dont care about money, i need really quality one.

For other information, dont hesitant to ask me. I will reply.

I must admit that 45 ibt is absolutely not a good score if u want to enroll in any college.
As I recall, HCM doesn't have any good language center to get training in ibt/ielts.
Study by yourself!

45 ibt was the bad result 3 years ago, and i do understand my english skills is not enough now, so i need to study more, but where ? How ? Study by myself doesn't seem to be like good ideal, i did, and i got 45 ibt.

Anyway, i live in Hanoi

You need to express what you're trying to say better, I thought that you studied for 2 years and still got 45 in the ibt test (which, as pointed out above, is very bad).
If money is not a problem then I suggest that you take the test again and see how you are doing now.

I really need to try to improve what i am saying,

about 2 years that i have studied english, i was the lazy guy, and just studied for speaking and listening (something like Toeic), and often invited teacher and classmates to go out for coffee to practise, so 45 ibt is the good result for that - i thought. And i have no problem 3 years later, because my job doesn't need more (just taking any abroad customer, go for lunch, dinner, talking about the weather or sometging like that.

But now, i have a good chance in my company (i am the best about english , and youngest) so i get slot to study in New Zealand, that's why i need to get 6.5 ielts on June.

Dont need to test, i think i know what my problem is by myself:

vocaborary is very very poor.
grammar is weak.

And both of them make 4 my basic english skills is bad. I have change and add someway to study enghlish anyway (chatting with friend by english, reading news, wathing movies, trying to post and read in this box ...).

The point is, i am looking for any english teaching center in hanoi to study by many way (asking friends for suggestion, googling...) and this topic also is one way. I am making my own option to make a choice.

As you know, which one has good quality ?

Imo, if you don't mind about money, just hire a private English native speaker-professor/tutor. This way is much more effective than any language center, where most of the shit they teach is gibberish.
And slap to your head that English is rote learning; you have to practice to make it perfect. Try to think by English and use it daily.

btw, on the topic, my *girl* friend was pretty bad at English but after a short while of drill cram, she managed to get enough IELTS and now study in NZ. Enuff said about IETLS, in Vietnam, at least.

Well, I got a lil bro, lazy kid, 19, studying in a so-so Uni, I wanted him to study English so he'd got a better education, he got some basic covered through playing games, watching films with E subs (I forced him) and searching & reading game faqs, etc. so I wanted him to get IELTS 6.5 in 1-2 years ...
So he doesnt have any faintest idea where to start learning
Well, since I never got any official scores somewhere so I need ur help with this, where should I send him to? Near Pham Van Dong Str. is prefered ...

Bạn bè của Sun đều học ở Bộ Ngoại giao, ai cũng khen rẻ và tốt cả. Tuy nhiên nó đông wá nên hơi mệt ở khâu đăng ký và có khi gặp gv hên xui 1 tí, có người dạy hay, có người dạy dở.

Nếu Moon muốn học phồn thể thì ở Mạch Kiếm Hùng dạy chất lượng tốt mà giá cả cũng ok, nghe nói 200k+ 1 tháng.
Còn học giản thể thì ở DHKHXHNV cũng good (nhưng tùy giáo viên dạy nữa, mình đang học chỗ này)
Hoặc học ở Kenta cũng ok (vì là chi nhánh ở Chợ lớn nên chắc sẽ dc học với giáo viên ng Hoa)
DHSP thì dạy nhanh (2tr/6 tháng lấy bằng A), học nhồi nhét hay sao ấy, mà ko bít có hiệu wả hem.

Sư Phạm dạy kiểu nhồi nhét chính xác luôn
Mà hình như dạy gấp đôi số tiết/buổi của KHXHNV ở ĐTHoàng
Còn ở Thủ Đức thì cũng có màn dạy 6 tháng mà số tiết/buổi vẫn y như ĐTHoàng (Hồi xưa học cuốn 301 tập 1 ở đây chỉ mất 4 tháng mà thật ra vào lớp giáo viên làm vèo vèo không kịp học là qua bài mới mất tiêu. Kết quả là 50 bài đầu toàn tự học ở nhà )
