Gerald talks about the status of update 3 and reveals further details of the work on FIFA MANAGER 12.

Hi all,

The work on update 3 is now mainly performed by our graphic artists who are adding more than 381 new player pictures and 150 XXL pics, among them many newcomers like Shinji Okazaki from the German Club Vfb Stuttgart. The database department already reports a four-digit numbers of transfers. In the meantime, all data and additional facts have been gathered and is now combined and included. As usual, this is a heap of work, but everything is running according to plan. The goal is to finish all work on the database till the 11th followed by a complete check afterwards.
Live Season still remains a challenge for update 3, since player nominations that happened in winter (like in England or Spain) have to be considered as well.

The last week also was a successful one for FIFA MANAGER 12. The club facility makes constant progress and the new club center is already finished with a total of eleven stages. The next building on the list is the media center; it will be constructed this week.

Oliver has been improving the training camp, impact and prizes have been adjusted and put up-to-date, 25 new locations were added as well.

Our graphic artists already finished the screens for many areas, for example the screens of the private-life area in FIFA MANAGER were put together this week. We will start the work on the stock exchange market this week. For us it is very important, that our users can later extend this area in the parameter files afterwards.

The new sponsor negotiations were a further topic in this week. The well-known screen with the three sponsors that pops up at the start of each season was left barely untouched for almost 10 years – in FIFA MANAGER 12 we will finally design a new screen.

Concerning the design, the transfer market and the text mode are the two subjects we will focus on next. We are evaluated the input we received from the threads in the board and are still looking into them for more ideas, thank you for the detailed input you already gave us! One of the planned features will be a new injury system – injuries will occur in various stages: for example, a player starts to limp, after some time the complaints will go away or they will become more severe.

I again would like to call attention to the idea-collecting-threads in our forum. Altogether, seven threads are open, active and are waiting for your input. How would you change the transfer market, what would you like to see in the editor… You can post your opinion and ideas to more than 12 areas of the game – I am constantly monitoring the threads, so no ideas get lost.

An eventful weeks lies behind us. Milestone 1 is achieved and the whole team spent the last week with bug-fixing.

Concerning the design, the 3D game, the board and the training area are still the main areas we are focusing on.

The design for this year’s text mode however has been completed. We would like to thank all who participated in the respective forum thread by presenting ideas, suggestions and solutions. As soon as first parts are finished, I will update you with the results.

The cooperation with our community also shows first results.
Last Friday, a major part of the programming team implemented wishes suggested by our beta testing team. This way, more than 20 little ideas became reality.

Our new campaign “Your Feature” started last week and we are pleased with the participation so far, this is your chance to choose features that become part of FIFA MANAGER.

Starting this Friday, a programmer will work exclusively on the new winning feature. We will presumably start with the feature that leads the ballots of the first poll at the moment (feature E, Show Training Progress). If by any chance another feature should get on the first place instead, we will additionally implement it, too. Afterwards, the second round of “Your Feature” will start, this time with five features chosen from the “Thread of Whishes”.

Oli has started to overhaul already existing areas of the game. Last week he started his work on the training camps, this week he will add new items in the private life section followed by an expansion of the “match(day) comments”.

Focus of the programming team was the 3D game (3 programmer), finances, club facilities, private life, editor as well as many little improvements.

A detailed changelist for update 3 will be published here later this week, so stay tuned.

Muốn add pic cho những thằng chưa có real pic ( như : Neymar, Kerrison ... ) thì add ở đâu ta . Lâu rồi ko làm cái này nên quên chỗ add rồi. Nhân tiện ai có pic Neymar + Kerrison thì share mình nha
