In June 2007 the Oceans team began a series of underwater scientific expeditions to build a global picture of our seas. Their search for answers took them on an voyage of discovery to the Arctic, Southern and Indian Oceans, the Atlantic, the Red Sea, the Sea of Cortez and the Mediterranean
Explorer Paul Rose led the team of intrepid adventurers, including environmentalist Philippe Cousteau (grandson of Captain Jacques-Yves Cousteau), maritime archaeologist Dr Lucy Blue and marine biologist and oceanographer Tooni Mahto
The team ventured into some of the planet's most challenging environments and with the help of scientists and dive teams, they descended beneath frozen Arctic ice-sheets, dived into mysterious black holes in the Bahamas and plunged into the dark water with the fearsome Humboldt squid
The results are shown in this eight part series on BBC Two, which seeks to provide a better understanding of the state of our oceans today, their role in the past, present and future and their significance in global terms. Paul Rose documents just a few of the scientific observations his team made in this BBC News feature
Oceans was filmed over one year, only allowing a few weeks for each film trip, a tight schedule in film terms. Changeable weather, unpredictable nature and strong sea currents presented daily challenges for the team, including a close encounter with a polar bear.

Passionate Darwinian David Attenborough, who sees evolution as the cornerstone of all
the series he has ever made, shares his personal view on Darwin's controversial idea.

Journeying through the last two hundred years, he tracks the changes in our understanding
of the natural world, and asks three key questions:

How and why did Darwin come up with his theory?
Why do most people think he was right?
Why is it more important now than ever before?

David starts his journey in Darwin's home at Down House in Kent, where Darwin worried and
puzzled over the origins of life.

David goes back to his roots in Leicestershire, where he hunted for fossils as a child, and
where another schoolboy unearthed a significant find in the 1950s. And he revisits
Cambridge University, where both he and Darwin studied, and where many years later the DNA
double helix was discovered, providing the foundations for genetics.

At the end of his journey in the Natural History Museum in London, David concludes that
Darwin's great insight revolutionised the way in which we see the world.

We now understand why there are so many different species, and why they are distributed
in the way they are. But above all, Darwin has shown us that we are not set apart from
the natural world, and do not have dominion over it.

We are subject to its laws and processes, as are all other animals on earth to which,
indeed, we are related.

2. Island First Light
Location: Cadillac Mountain, Acadia National Park, Maine

At 1,532 feet, this is the highest vantage point along the North Atlantic seaboard. During certain times of year, the summit receives the rays of the first rising sun within the United States. The peak is composed of pink granite, and perched above a forest of spruce and pitch pine. Among the granite slabs are tiny sub-alpine plants such as cinquefoil, squat, gnarled trees, wild blueberries, and various sized boulders. The view of the Maine archipelago is unsurpassed, with the Cranberry Islands foremost in the southwest.

4. Manatee Spring
Location: Homosassa Spring, Florida

Every winter, the two thousand pound West Indian manatees of Florida's Gulf Coast seek the warm clear waters of inland springs. There, they congregate and gently linger, feeding on plants amidst schools of jack. Spanish moss hangs from twisted limbs and filters the morning mist. Wood ducks nest overnight in the limbs of the nearby trees and take flight at first light. As the sun further brightens, the manatees meander over to check out the cameras, which are positioned split-surface to capture their exhalations every few minutes above and below the surface.

5. Teton Beaver
Location: Schwabacher's Landing, Moose, Wyoming

The nocturnal beavers have settled into a small tributary under the sheer cirque walls, rugged ridges and jagged peaks of the Teton Range. Their engineering skill has produced an 8 foot high dam and a new pond for those creatures of the day; a great blue heron fishing in the morning mist, ducks with their ducklings, trout, and a goldfinch feeding her chick. Tiny details of a spun web and lichen contrast the grand sky. Fireweed reclaims the blackened soil, while a distant strand of steam wisps its way into a cloudless sky.

3.Cloudforest Waterfal

La Paz River, Vara Blanca, Costa Rica — The crater lake of the Poas Volcano drains from 9,000 feet into this high altitude cloudforest ravine. Stepping downward through a series of five waterfalls, we descend as the sun rises. Creatures of the beach begin to stir. Pelicans glide in formation. Buff surfers catch the last of the break, while an older gentleman tries his luck hand-lining for fish in the surf. Last Sunday he caught a 25 pound snook. As the sands dry, crabs dig their way to the surface, grain by grain. The soothingly eternal waves await the next full moon.

14.Amazon Parakeets

Mist curls along the flanks of the Amazon River headwater. The sun comes slowly as a solitary dugout canoe quietly passes by. On the distant shore, gold miners begin their dredging and panning. The voices of birds lift with the sun - a great throbbing orb shimmering in its own heat. A blue and white swallow pauses on a branch at water's edge, its breast tinged pink by the dawn. Nearby, we see an exposed clay bank of the river - called a "clay lick" or "colpa" in the local Quechua dialect. Brilliant flashes of green herald the arrival of flocks of parakeets - dusky-headed, cobalt-winged and more. Their calls fill the forest as they alight on tree tops and gather in groups. The flocks take turns, massing on the walls of the lick. Clamouring to eat clay warmed by the sun, they coat their stomachs to survive a rainforest diet of fruit and poisonous seeds. Flitting nervously from dirt to trees, they flash the scarlet or azure of their under-wings. The parakeets are a blur of colour. The forest fills with their calls as they finish their visit to the clay lick. Returning to their higher haunts in the canopy, the day begins.

15.Bison Before Breakfast

Lamar Valley, Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming — Out of darkness the Lamar Valley comes to life. Streaking clouds overhead reflect the first signs of the approaching day — true big sky country captured within the broad picture of HD. Slumbering bull bison awaken and join the grazing herd, eating their way towards the head of the valley. Bison feed mainly on grasses and can cover 3km in a day of grazing. They once traveled in herds of thousands, but now, a typical bison herd is about 50 animals. Calves scamper through the tall grasses to catch up with the pace of their hungry elders. Calves weigh 30-70 pounds at birth and can travel with their mothers within 3 hours. Swallows dart through the line of trees along a cold stream flowing off of the neighboring Wyoming peaks.

Monomoy National Wildlife Refuge, Chatham, Mass. — South Monomoy Island stretches for miles off the southern elbow of Cape Cod. The low barrier islands of Monomoy comprise the critical habitat for migrating birds to feed and rest. The ever-shifting sands host the Atlantic seaboard's second largest colony of common terns, over 17,000 strong. As the sun rises over the pounding Atlantic surf, they noisily awaken from nests scattered among the dunes and beach grass. With our cameras recording the activities of their homes, we get up close and personal with the feisty birds as their daily routine commences.

- Em tải Atlas Japan về coi thử thấy cũng hay, trước đây cũng thích coi Discovery Channel phiên bản VTV 3 lắm. Ngặc cái là không có phụ đề coi không hiểu gì cả. Anh NIZ biết phần mềm nào có thể tách cái phim này thành file .mp4 không??? Em tính quăng nó lên PS3, nếu bình thường là file .mp4 thì không sao, đằng này file gốc tải về lại là mp4-->mkv mới chết.
- Anh có phim nào về kangragoo thì giới thiệu nhé. Em chỉ có thể "chơi" với megaupload thôi, còn các liên kết khác thì thua, nên chỉ ủng hộ được bộ đầu thôi :P. + Rep một phát nào :))
