The engineer looked at his masterpiece. The turrets were mounted, the rockets loaded, the cannons oiled and tested on the range. It was time to test his mechanical beast against the demonic hoards of the Hellbourne. They would know no quarter when he found them within range and death reigned down from above. The explosions deafened both man and beast, and Artillery stood alone among the craters and carnage.

Artillery is a ranged, agility hero that excels in long-range combat. With Bunker down, his attack range exceeds a tower's reach. Long Range Missiles (LRM) scale with base damage, and do not propagate orb effects or attack modifiers, so items that increase base attack damage provide the most bang for Artillery.

Ghost Marchers are the boots of choice for this construction, providing needed maneuverability as well as bonus damage. Since Bunker Down's mana cost is so little, and LRM is somewhat cheap, a Blood Chalice or Power Supply can provide all the mana necessary, letting Artillery focus on his offensive front. Fragmentation shells do not count as an orb effect, yet provide a potent slow, so Frostwolf Skull is not suggested, though Geometer's Bane is a great pickup for both damage and survivability. Savage Mace, Wingbow, and a Nullstone all work great with Artillery's play style. Charged Hammer greatly increases Artillery's damage output, but since LRM doesn't proc the lightning, it may not be as efficient as other weapons when doing damage.

con này nhìn chung cũng được, ko đến nỗi như Blitz hay Kinesis :-s, nhưng mà cầm súng hiện đại thế kia bắn từng phát 1 liệu S2 thiết kế có hơi dớ dẩn quá ko ta =))

Đà này ra, thì hero normal port từ dota qua sẽ ngày càng phế, trừ vài con carry, tank mạnh :((

Nó chơi Monkey King lv 11 + 4 điểm skill 2, 3 điểm skill 3, 4 điểm skill 1 8-| ko nâng ulti 8-| và dĩ nhiên là combo lỗi tòe loe hết cả lên

May mà game đấy vẫn win vì team kia ko chịu push sớm

Mk mình đánh chỉ nâng 1 điểm skill 3 thôi , cứ 4 điểm 2 4 điểm 1 là ngon , đợt mới ra MK còn k nâng ulti của MK vì thấy nó hơi cùi cùi :D , sau đọc kĩ mới thấy có lợi phết :D

^ silhouette phải được hơn 2k5 hp là ít, lại có cái savage mace anti wingbow bá đạo thế kia thì team 2 ko win hơi lạ =))

Another Ranged Agility Carry. Ugh.

I'm with all of you who are tired of the addition of one ranged agility carry after another. But the part of it that bothers me the most is the motivation behind it. As I see it, there are two main reasons why we've seen so many heroes of this kind released - not just recently - but in general.

Ranged Agility heroes are easier to design than any other hero.

Unlike melee agility heroes, ranged heroes have the ability to regulate their own survivability by positioning themselves appropriately in fights and doing what is called "pre-kiting" (running before anyone even gets close to them) if anyone shows interest in them. Once that interest has dissipated they return to the fight.

This natural advantage relieves the designer of the responsibility of giving the hero the tools to escape and or survive. These tools are difficult to craft because most obvious ways of accomplishing this goal have been explored. S2 has trouble coming up with new and imaginative ways of accomplishing this. They are also notoriously difficult to balance given that they can so easily overpower a hero - Magebane - Night Hound - Blood Hunter - Nomad etc. Further, agility heroes are almost uniformly centered around the ability to do damage. There is less pressure for the designer to carve out a unique role for the hero. So long as the heroes do damage, the goal has been accomplished. The formula for accomplishing this is simple - there are two routes:


Give the hero a passive that, though less effective in the early game, gives them the power to control the late game with ease provided they've farmed well.
Supplament the heroes damage with spells making them more effective in the early game, and giving them the ability to "farm" by killing other heroes, getting ahead, and then let the Agility - Attack Speed/Armor/Damage is the same stat - thing take over.


I challenge you to find me a ranged agility carry that does not fit one of these two models or a combination of both. Spell costs are more easy to balance because the hero does not rely as much on their spells. Survivability is easy to balance because the ranged nature of the hero has it built in. Growth is easy to balance because of the two routes identified above. Laning effectiveness is easy to balance because the hero has the ability to last hit from relative safety or to harrass intermittently (once again, courtesy of the range). Support heroes effectiveness, reliance on farm, role overlap, mana cost and recharge ability scale, utility vs. damage spell dichotomy have to be carefully assessed and balanced. Strength hero growth, initiation capability, late game carry viability, lane presence, and especially stats have to be very carefully tweaked. The rest of the hero types function as a team and must be balanced as a team. Ranged agility carries are more self contained than any other type of hero.

Ranged Agility heroes are easier to sell than any other hero.

It doesn't take a genius or much explanation to figure this one out. The hon community is more hostile, and patently, "worse" than any other community I have ever encountered. Though not entirely within their control, it is S2's responsibility to do their best to regulate and improve this.

There is so much hostility between most players that they are unwilling to trust or coordinate with one another, so, they go the "Lone Wolf" route of the carry/ranged agility carry. People like kills. The communal focus on KDR (also S2's responsibility to do their best to regulate) those who prefer non-carry roles (which are as, or more essential than the carry role) receive neither the recognition, nor the credibility that they deserve for their efforts. They are criticized for their lesser KDR, expected to take on self sacrificing responsibilities like conceding farm, warding and, in general, playing "carry b*tch." These things are not appreciated, they are expected! And support heroes are berated if they do not make these sacrifices. In short, people don't want to, or feel they can (and win), play support heroes until the 1700 bracket. And what people don't want to play, doesn't sell. The infrequency of silver sales and continuing drought of non-premium avatars are all a testament to this.

Companies want to make profit, I get it. But when they place this ambition over their desire to produce and maintain a quality product, that's when I get uneasy. And, if you ask me, you should be too.

For tl;dr:
_ Hero agi dễ cân bằng hơn đám support hoặc ganker hoặc đám hero teamfight bá đạo như Midas
_ Range carry dễ design hơn, dễ bán hơn:7cool_feel_good:
