You don't have to be connected on the internet to run the game, in fact you can launch it without any emulator.

Find hl2.exe in your games (such as hl2 solo, multiplayer or cs source), copy and past it into your steamapps\common\left 4 dead\, make a shortcut and add
Code: Select all | Line number On/Off | Expand/Contract

1. -game left4dead -console

at the end of the target (it's in the shortcut properties)

Launch the game and type connect 192.168.x.x (Your Local Server IP)
You can't use openserverbrowser in the console because it doesn't work (dunno why)

To make a local server you need a dedicated server, download it directly from steam (I think it's free) then launch it in LAN mode and disable the Vac protection.

There it is, now try to connect your client to your server.

Your client will be warned:
Code: Select all | Line number On/Off | Expand/Contract

And the server in the console log:

Perhaps we can run an local master server to fix it, is it possible?

Ps: With this kind of solution, you can't play in Lan yet but you're able to play solo.

Test cái này trước đi rồi đến cái trên.Chủ yeu16 chúng ta cần ở đây là mấy cái hl2.exe để mở server từ ~console mà mấy cái CSS của Digital nó đã crack sẳn

Just folow these instrutions

Proper Instrutions
1. Make sure steam is turned off
2. Install it to Steam folder
3. Paste and replace engine.dll in "Steam\steamapps\common\left 4 dead\bin\"
4. Turn on the steam but DO NOT RUN THE GAME THROUGH IT otherwise you will get error "servers are busy" and engine.dll will get deleted.
5. Use left4dead.exe located in "Steam\steamapps\common\left 4 dead\"

If left4dead.exe or engine.dll is missing then Steam deleted it because you ran it through Steam. This was my first attempt and I had to re-download Steam and install the game again.

Another way to run without steam:
Copy all files into ANY HL2 game like Portal and instead of

use

Code: hl2.exe -game left4dead

Cái file ấy không phải là file chạy half life đâu mà cái file đó cho phép chạy tạo server mà không cân phải vào game

Hey dude. I've been screwing around with Left 4 Dead all week and I think I have an answer for ya. NOTE: YOU DON'T NEED TO USE THE CRACKED ENGINE.DLL OR ANY OTHER CRACKED NONSENSE; ACTUALLY, USE THE ORIGINAL DLL IF YOU CAN. This is what you have to do to play Left 4 Dead on LAN without STEAM:


Have the computer that's going to run the listen server (the most powerful PC you got) run this batch command (either through .bat file or windows shortcut):
hl2.exe -game left4dead -console -novid +sv_allow_lobby_connect_only 0 +z_difficulty Impossible +map l4d_hospital01_apartment

And I'll actually explain the extra switches (sweet deal!). -console activates the console. Press the tidle (~) key to bring it up during the game to switch maps and stuff. -novid skips the intro video. +sv_allow_lobby_connect_only 0 makes sure you're able to connect to games via console command "connect xx.xx.xx.xx". +z_difficulty Impossible selects Expert difficulty. Other options instead of Impossible are Easy, Normal, and Hard. +map l4d_hospital01_apartment selects the first level of the game. Look in your maps folder to see the different levels you can pick. These end in .bsp

The most important I think is: changelevel MAPNAME
so you can change the level during the game. YAY!

The other computers on the LAN should run this batch/shortcut:

After Left 4 Dead loads, the console will pop up and they should enter this at the prompt:
connect xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx

The xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx being the ip address of the computer that is running the server.

That should work for ya. At least it did for me. I believe you could also apply this method to playing internet games using Hamachi, and without STEAM or cracked files/engine.

Nên chắc ko tạo đc server.
Trên Mininova có 1 bản Full Rip Team JPN, 900MB, play Online, ai down test thử rồi cho ý kiến đi. Thấy khổ quá nên thử down bản này xem.

@backden cái đấy không phải lỗi mà ai cũng bị thế,ở bản demo sau khi vá thì chạy đuco75 cái file ấy và anh em đều chơi trên Wippien vấn đề sao giờ chạy đc cái ấy là mọi chuyện như xong khogn6 phụ thuộc vào bọn steam nữa

Cách trên có vẻ khả thi đó, nhưng giờ ai up dùm tui cái file hl2.exe lên đc hông? những game gì có file này tui uninstall hết ráo rùi :(

Đọc cái trên thấy đc nhìu thứ đấy nhỉ!
Tạo server = cách chạy 1 file .bat, .bat này tạo bằng TXT nên sửa = TXT.
Cách này cũng ko khác gì lắm cách tạo server = cônsole trong game. Lấy IP của máy mình(theo như trên thì nó ko kêu ta lấy IP của Steam) đưa cho máy trong LAN(chắc là của steam) rồi connect vào chơi.
Vậy Daivyphuong làm thử 1 cái đi.
Trong bản RIP của mình đã có 1 file .bat nên sửa rất dễ.

Chúng ta thử đợi cách tạo server = hamachi của holy_butcher.
Đúng là cái Wippen với GTalk Jabber hướng dẫn quá sơ sài ở bài một nên chẳng ai dùng cả. Mở port rồi nhưng sau đó chẳng biết làm gì.
