Sony will be updating Uncharted Golden Abyss on February 24 with a new "Black Market" feature. This feature lets you use the system's Near wireless functionality to trade items that you've collected in the game with other players.

Toyama shared this pic at Twitter today.

It seems that, rather than being some sort of magic Sony internal AR app, Toyama may have just pasted Kat on a cityscape. He asked if everyone would like an AR app that allows you to make videos like this.

Considering Sony's commercial campaign for Gravity Daze, any AR app would probably need to have an apple theme.

This week’s Media Create Sales are in, and Konami’s latest entry in the Suikoden series has topped the charts with nearly 62,000 copies sold. Gravity Rush, a highly anticipated new release for PlayStation Vita, debuted in second with over 43,000 sales. The 3DS stayed strong, as always, taking spots 3 to 6 with titles such as Resident Evil: Revelations and Monster Hunter Tri G.

Grasshopper Manufacture / Game Campus Festa PlayStation Vita Student Projects

Late last year, Grasshopper Manufacture announced that it was teaming up with a number of game development schools in Japan for the Game Campus Festa program. Grashopper would supply the schools with PlayStation Vita development kits, and teams at the school would make games for the system. All of this would be coordinated on Sony's then newly opened Play Commu community site.

Today, Grasshopper provided a first look at the the student projects. These projects will be judged by Grasshopper, and some may end up being distributed to the masses via PSN.

You'll find textual details about the game at the program's Play Commu space. (To enter the site, you need to confirm that you're 18 and up. Click the left button if you are). If I get a chance, I'll add some details below later in the day.

Ragnarok Odyssey gets free Novice DLC

Dress up like jobless Ragnarok Online players.

Ragnarok Odyssey will today receive free downloadable costumes modeled after the Novice uniforms worn by beginner players in Ragnarok Online, publisher GungHo has announced.

It will also include the Novice card, which has a rarity of three stars, and boosts your attack power when tension is high.

More downloadable content will be delievered on Thursday, February 23. GungHo plans to release new content every week.

Sony Promotes PS3/Vita Cross-Play with Freebie Deals

If you’re looking to test out the new PS3/Vita cross-play functionality when you finally get your hands on Sony’s sleek new handheld, we’ve got exciting news for you. In an effort to get gamers to test out the new feature, Sony is offering content on both platforms for a single fee.

Over on the EU PS Blog, Sony has announced that this deal applies to the following titles: Hustle Kings, MotorStorm RC, Top Darts - which you’ll get on both platforms for the price of one. WipEout 2048 and Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 will also allow you to share DLC between platforms at no additional cost.

+When you buy MotorStorm RC you will be able to play it on PS3 and PS Vita at no additional cost.
+When you buy Hustle Kings and/or Top Darts for PS Vita, you will get the PS3 versions for free. If you already own these games on PS3, you’ll be able to download the PS Vita version for free.
+If you purchase WipEout 2048 and you already own WipEout HD and the HD Fury DLC on PS3, you will be able to download them for free when they launch on PS Vita later this spring.

Gung-Ho shared details today on Ragnarok Odyssey's first expansion. Titled "Expansion 1: Online Multiplay Update," this is the online play update that developer Gamearts promised during interviews just ahead of the game's release. The update will include online play support, Near functionality, and download content including equipment and quests.

Expansion 1 will be available in mid March. You'll find some screenshots below.

Gung-Ho also shared preliminary details on the game's second update. This will be released in mid April and will add new stages, new monsters, new quests and more.

Tokyo Game Show 2012 website launched

The Consumer Entertainment Supplier’s Association have launched the official website for this year’s Tokyo Game Show. It’s fully featured (but without an English version, at the moment), so feel free to head on over and browse around.

The Tokyo Game Show runs this year from September 20 to 23 – the first two days being business-only. This year’s slogan is “Smiles are connected by GAME.” The CESA expects at least 180 exhibitors and 195,000 attendees. Last year, the show saw a record-breaking 222,668 attend during its four day span.

The PlayStation Vita version of Malicious pretty much disappeared following its announcement at Tokyo Game Show last year. It's still in development, though. Here's proof:
Alvion, the game's developer (and publisher in Japan) shared this pic of some top secret materials for the Vita version at Twitter today.

Unfortunately, the pic did not come with any details about the game, just the promise that we'll get an update as soon as possible.
