Resident Evil 2 (1998) Cheats For PC

1. Unlock Hard Mode
   There is Hard Mode in both Original and Arrange Game. Complete ANY scenarios in ANY mode, you will have the Hard Mode after finishing.

   Press F3 repeatedly to control the mesh and shade you want on the screen.

3. Unlock HUNK
   Beat Leon A on Normal Mode and then beat Claire B on Normal Mode.
   
   -OR-
   
   Beat Claire A on Normal Mode and then beat Leon B on Normal Mode.

4. Unlock TOFU
   The EASIEST way to unlock TOFU is to beat Leon A, Claire B, Leon A again, Claire B again, Leon A again and then Claire be again to unlock TOFU. All those games must be on Normal, not Easy or Arrange.
   
   There is a harder way.
   
   The HARDEST way to unlock TOFU is to beat Claire A, Leon B, Claire A again, Leon B again, Claire A again and then Leon B again to unlock TOFU. All those games must be on Normal, not Easy or Arrange.

5. Infinite ammo
   There is a simple button sequence to get infinite ammo anytime you wish. Go to your item screen and press the following sequence:
   
   Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, Aim.
   
   All weapons you carry and any future weapons you acquire will have infinite ammo.

6. Unlock the ''Extreme Battle'', ''4th Survivor'' and ''To-Fu Game''.
   First, go to Windows registry (Click on execute then type ''Regedit'').Go to this adress ''HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESoftwareCAPCOMRESIDENT EVIL2''. And on the values writed on the folders named ''Gallery 1, Gallery 2...., Gallery 5'' Type ''FFFFFFFF''. After you did that, go to the folder called ''Special'', and enter the letter ''A''.
   Now, execute the game, enter on the section ''Special'', and have fun.

7. Secret Rebecca's Picture
   Just like some common versions of Resident Evil 2, you can get this secret picture. In the Police Station, go to the S.T.A.R.S. office, then check Wesker's desk for the note ''It's trashed. Someone must have searched the desk...'' to be shown 50 times. Then you will get the Film D. Bring it to the Dark Room below the stairs and you take ''Recruit'' picture of Rebecca.

8. Quick access to Hard-difficulty
   There's a quicker way to access the Hard-difficulty. One that doesn't require you to finish the game on a lower difficulty level first. Use the Windows registry editor (c:\windows\regedit.exe) to view the system registry branch [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Capcom\RESIDENT EVIL2].
   
   This branch contains a registry key called "Install Flag". Change the hexadecimal value of this key to 000007ad. This change makes Hard-difficulty immediately accessible. This one is handy to all those veteran players who have uninstalled and then re-installed RE2 on their system and want to play on Hard-difficulty NOW and not later.

9. Special Weapons & Infinite Ammo
   Finish the game, save it when prompted, and the weapons will appear in the chests for that saved game (Using them will drop you 1 grade).
