Additions
Barricades
- Barricades can now be connected to each other
- Barricades now act as rally points
- Small barricades have 1 rally point, large barricades have 4
- Barricades have health and cover ratings based on level
- Flag displays on barricades with survivors assigned to them
- Destroyed barricades require repairs before they're usable again
- Show the maximum weapon range covered by the survivors assigned to them
Gates
- New defensive building, can be activated by using menu in the compound or
by simply clicking during zombie attacks
- Do not have rally points on them, but can be destroyed and need repair
Destruction
- Zombies will now destroy barricades and barriers
- Players will be able to attack barricades also
- In many cases, destroying barricades will be necessary to gain entry to the
compound you're raiding
- Firearms will do very little to damage buildings
- Melee weapons receive a significant damage bonus vs buildings
Cover
- Most buildings in the compound now have a cover rating
- Ratings are generalized by Green (best) Yellow (average) Red (bad)
- Survivors in cover will only expose themselves when they are in weapon
range of an enemy
- When in cover (ducking down) survivors cannot be hit, unless there is
a direct line of sight
Suppression
- When survivors are under fire, a meter will fill indicating how suppressed they are
- Taking heavy fire from one or more sources will result in survivors becoming fully suppressed as indicated by the full meter and pulse
- When fully suppressed, the survivor will curl up into a ball and will no longer return fire
- Fully suppressed survivors will wait until their meter is empty before they will return fire. Moving suppressed survivors during enemy reloads is recommended
- Weapons have a suppression rating that is applied, certain mods such as "Loud" weapons enhance the effect
User Interface
- Added new icons for displaying security and comfort increases more clearly
- Added rally icon to top bar, indicates number of survivors assigned to defensive positions
Changes
General
- Removed frame rate cap, for those who can the game will run at 60fps
Supply Boxes
- Reduced possible number of Supply Box drops by 66%
Morale
- Increased base amount of Security needed per survivor for morale bonus by 50% to account for new security buildings
Missions
- All played missions now have a maximum return time of 4 hrs, this includes compound raids
- Automating missions will still take longer
Weapon Balancing
- Reduced damage of M24 to make it less lethal in PvP
- AK74 and M249 also under balancing consideration
Player Compounds
- Removed the streetside fences in the top left and right of compound perimeter
- Removed the green container in the top right to allow for more build area
- Added cover to the streets for attackers
Compound Raids
- Increased mission timer for Compound Raids to 8 minutes
- Players now need to Hold Space to go into action mode during compound raids
- When in action mode, options such as Scavenge, Heal and Suppress appear
- Holding Space and Clicking starts the action
Neighborhood Fixes
- Complete overhaul of how the neighborhood system works
- New players being added to your neighborhood will be your level or higher and will always be selected from a pool of active players
- You will no longer be able to initiate attacks on players that are lower level than you, unless they are in your friends list or they have previously attacked you
- Players who you've had interaction with via helping, raiding or being raided by them will be automatically added to your compound list
- Inactive players will eventually be removed from your list
- Friends will still remain in your list regardless of their status
Pathing and AI Improvements
- Zombies now actively block survivors movement so it is possible to have survivors completely surrounded
- Dramatically improved the way zombies navigate in groups and in general
- Defending survivors now act more effectively, especially when in cover
Recycler Upgrade
- Added two more levels to the Recycler - capacity now goes up to 90
- Reduced times to recycle, now more dependent on volume
Zombie Attacks
- Attacks now occur more randomly, as opposed to when you first log in
- Attacks on your compound by zombies will now be at your Leader's level
- This change may need to be reviewed depending on results from high lvl players
Miscellaneous
- Changed "Sawn Off" shotgun mod name to "Shortened" to avoid confusion
Fixes
General
- Fixed Tab ordering (no more yellow squares on HUD items)
Achievements
- Social achievements related to compound visits / helping and raids fixed
