All of you have responded to me about the proposed Gunfighers United Nations (GUN) These seven towns have expressed interest in joining the GUN:

Abhor Evil
Big Bang
Dead Drunk Saloon
Frisco
QueenBee
Valhalla
Western Eagle

The other towns under consideration were THE WEST, Sanitorium, and West Wild Wolves. There are all strong towns, and some of you are already allied with some of them, but they also present some problems. The leader of THE WEST won't commit unless ALL his allies also agree, and that seems too much to hope for. Sanitorium is interested but reluctant to join right now, plus they are pretty far away from the rest of us. West Wild Wolves has not responded at all.

So I proposed we move forward with the seven towns we have. If the others want to join later, they'll have that opportunity.

So here are the basics:

GUN/Security Council membership:

The seven towns will comprise the founding members of the GUN security council (GUNsec). All existing allies of GUNsec towns will automatically be invited to join the GUN. Any future towns that want to join the GUN will have to be approved by a majority vote of the GUNsec. Allied towns can only become GUNsec members by unanimous vote of the GUNsec. The GUNsec must remain an odd number to avoid tied votes, so any future GUNsec members would have to be approved in pairs.

Dueling and Wars

There will be a "friendly" dueling system among allies whereby our duelers and soldiers can meet in pre-arranged duels for fun, XP and bragging rights. The system would prevent accidental knockouts by ensuring that players are not "ganged up on". There would be no attacks on allied players outside of this dueling system, and offenders would have to submit to a penalty.

ALL allied fighters would be REQUIRED to participate in any GUNsec-sanctioned joint action against enemies of the GUN. Simply put - if we decide to go to war, all our fighters will have to join in. Of course, our other players would be welcome to join us if they want to get some too.

Trade between GUN allies

There would be free trade within the GUN. All GUN towns would be required to keep open spots available so that they can invite shoppers. Also, all GUN towns would have to post and update their inventory list for easy browsing by allied shoppers. I propose a nominal "shopping fee" be donated by each shopper to the treasury of the host town. That way we will be helping to build each other's towns in exchange for shopping rights.

GUN identification

Each allied town would have to add the GUN acronym to the end of their official town name. This is for the purposes of easy identification by friend and foe alike. This will prevent accidental attacks, and hopefully the sight of the GUN "brand" will soon command fear and respect.

All these rules are subject to change if agreed upon by the GUNsec members.

So, here we are. Time to decide. Given the general guidelines listed above:
