While Chunsoft's Kamaitachi no Yoru sequel is just for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita, 3DS owners can look forward to a major adventure game from the publisher. Famitsu reveals that a followup of sorts to DS adventure title 999: Nine Hours, Nine Persona, Nine Doors is in development for both platforms.
The new game, titled Gyokugen Dasshutsu Adv: Zennin Shiboudes, actually isn't a sequel to 999, but it is being developed by the same staff. Kotaro Uchikoshi is handling scenario and direction, with Kinu Nishimura doing character designs. Both had similar roles on 999. The game will also be full voice, with major voice actors like Akio Otsuka, Yukari Tamura, Chiaki Omigawa, and Rie Kugimiya
Details on the actual content of the game have yet to leak out from Famitsu.
Avalon will be bringing its downloadable PlayStation 3 title Malicious to the PlayStation Vita. Word of the portable title first appears in this week's Dengeki PlayStation.
The PS3 version of Malicious was released to PSN in October of last year.
It's unclear at present if the Vita title is new or a port of the PS3 version. Expect additional details later in the day.
Most of the Vita games that have been announced thus far are going to be both retail and download. But not Malicious! Dengeki PlayStation, which reveals the Vita version of Malicious this week, lists the game as a download exclusive.
Of course, this isn't too surprising given that the PlayStation 3 Malicious game was also a PSN download exclusive.
If you're hoping for actual details on the Vita Malicious game, you're going to have to wait a bit. The game just appears in Dengeki's release chart, meaning no details. It's possible that Famitsu will have actual details tomorrow, though, so be sure and check back !
Listings on Amazon have always leaked plenty of interesting facts, and now a listing has revealed the Official name and box art for the upcoming Call of Duty PS VITA game.
Call of Duty: Allied Mobile Force, that is the official name of the upcoming Call of Duty game for the PS VITA.
Many rumours suggested that the game would be a direct port of Modern Warfare 3, but this seems like fantastic news for the PS VITA, the game could feature a completely different story or even a totally different multiplayer mode.
But what we at PS VITA HUB think is that the game will feature an identical Multiplayer mode, but a completely different story. Also like the box art and multiple announcements have confirmed that Treyarch is the official developer.
Also remember that this imagehas not come from an official source and that the listing could be fake or a hacked server. But it seems pretty real, the box art is typical Call of Duty style and the listing seems quite legit.
And another reason we think that its legit is because the page was almost instantly taken down, we think it stayed up for around 10 minutes until Activision noticed it.
Arc System Works announced BlazBlue Continuum Shift II for PlayStation Vita a while back. This week's Famitsu has details on what's new for the portable version.
The Vita title is fully titled "BlazBlue Continuum Shift Extend." Players can look forward to new scenarios and characters on top of the content of CSII. Included in the new character list are Ignis and Relius Clover, both of whom should be familiar to BlazBlue fans (read Wikipedia's character page for details). Relius was previously confirmed as coming to the arcade version of CSII in a Fall update.
Other features for the Vita version include Network Mode and Abyss Mode. Network Mode supports irregular team counts, with Famitsu mentioning 2 on 2, 3 on 3 and 2 on 4. Abyss Mode will include a refined version of the story from the original.
For those who own the PlayStation 3 version of BlazBlue CS, Famitsu says that you'll be able to share your save data between the two versions.
Famitsu lists BlazBlue Continuum Shift Extend as due for release this Winter. Sony hasn't announced a final release date for Vita, so this is probably as specific as we can expect at present.
Marvelous Entertainment is working on a followup to Wii's Little King Story, and it's for PlayStation Vita. This week's Famitsu has first details on the game, whose Japanese name translates to "The King, The Demon King and the Seven Princesses: New King Story."
Only a few bits and pieces have leaked out of the magazine at present. It appears that the game will have love elements, along with new visual stylings for its characters.
Check back later in the day for additional details.
Visual novel specialist Chunsoft has signed on with PlayStation Vita. This week's Famitsu reveals that the publisher's first title for the platform will be "Shin Kamaitachi no Yoru: Jyuichi-nin-me no Suspect." The game is also coming to PlayStation 3.
The original Kamaitachi no Yoru sound novel/adventure game was released for the Super Famicom in 1994. The game tells a murder mystery story involving Toru and girlfriend Mari. Typical of the genre, the "gameplay" consists of reading text and selecting paths. Including ports to the PlayStation and Game Boy Advance, the game sold close to a million copies and even spawned a radio and television drama.
The Vita and PS3 title maintains the unique visual style of the original, which showed its characters as blue silhouettes. Chunsoft is making use of the more advanced technology to allow for all visuals to be in 3D. Of course, the game will be fully voiced.
Chunsoft is implementing a multiplayer mode into the game. Titled "Minna de Kamaitachi," or "Kamaitachi With Everyone," this mode lets 100 players team up to solve a single crime. Each player plays as a detective whose goal is to be the fastest to solve the crime. The game will support cross-platform play between Vita and PS3.
Exclusive to the Vita version are touch panel and gyro sensor support. The Vita version will also have a two player mode where each player holds opposite ends of the system and the game determines their level of compatibility based off their touch inputs on the front and rear touch panels.
