Famitsu.com has lots and lots of screens and artwork for Soul Sacrifice, which was revealed in this week's issue of Weekly Famitsu to be Keiji Inafune's new PlayStation Vita game. Take a look at the media below.
As detailed earlier, the player is a slave to a cruel sorcerer. You're locked away in prison, set to be sacrificed, when a book appears before you. This book, Golam Book, is actually a demon in book form. It has the ability to let you experience the contents contained within, which depict the past battles between sorcerers and monsters.
Those past battles serve as the quests that you play in the game. You'll be able to play the quests in four player multiplayer.
The character you control in the quests is a sorcerer who must make payment in order to use magic. The more you're willing to pay, the more powerful the magic. You can use trees and stones in your surroundings as payment. Or, you can sacrifice parts of your body for more powerful magics. If you do this too much, though, you'll slowly lose your human form.
Look below for artwork showing some of powerful and gruesome magic that we detailed earlier. The media also includes art and screens of some of the monsters like Slime, Minotaurus, and Cerberus, and some stage concept visuals.
Gravity Rush (or Gravity Daze as it's officially known in Japanese) has been out for a few months now, but Sony isn't done with the marketing just yet. The publisher announced today a new commercial campaign featuring talent Akari Hayami.
Titled "The Pleasant Feeling of Falling," the new spot shows Akari falling through the sky. She's not actually falling, though. Just like the game's main character Kat, Akari is controlling gravity, and is "falling into the sky" from the ground. At the end of the clip, we see bubbles showing some of the fan comments the game has gotten at Sony's PlayStation Community site.
Sony's press release announcing the commercial campaign went into detail about how the spot was shot. Akari came to the studio after she'd finished school for the day. She was already wearing a school outfit, but Sony had her change into a new school outfit just for the shoot.
Akari was all smiles even though the shoot required that she be hung in mid air for some sequences. She also got to play the game ahead of the shoot and managed to make it all the way to episode 3. At the end of the shoot, the staff gave her a PlayStation Vita and a copy of the game.
Look for the commercial spot starting Saturday.
Today during the first “PlayStation <3 Canada” event, Frima Studio has announced that with the support of the Canada Media Fund, Zombie Tycoon 2: Brainhov’s Revenge is currently under development for PS Vita and PS3.
The sequel to the 2009 PSN hit Zombie Tycoon, Brainhov’s Revenge steps up the hilarious, irreverent RTS gameplay of the original with an array of new zombies, sharper graphics powered by Unreal Engine 3 and multiplayer Cross Play capability between the PSV and PS3.
Along with the single player campaign, Zombie Tycoon 2 will also feature a strategy-based multiplayer mode and will see the return of favorite characters such as Professor Tycoon, Ernest, Dr. Brainhov and, of course, hordes of silly zombies.
“With Lights, Camera, Party! and the latest Zombie Tycoon title, Frima Studio continues their track record of producing high quality work with the support of the Canada Media Fund. We’re proud to invest in such digital products that utilize the latest in development technologies and highlight the state-of-the-art capabilities of Canadian studios,” said Valerie Creighton, President and CEO of the Canada Media Fund.
Zombie Tycoon 2: Brainhov’s Revenge is expected to launch in early 2013.

A few weeks back, Nippon Ichi began teasing a couple of 20th anniversary titles. The platform for one of those titles has been revealed in this week's Dengeki PlayStation to be PlayStatin Vita.
Outside of the platform and some art, it appears that the magazine does not provide any details. It doesn't even list the genre.
This Vita title is the 2nd anniversary game that Nippon Ichi was previously teasing. The first title, an RPG with Noizi Ito artwork, is still platform TBA.
This is just an early report based off the usual flying get sources. We'll hopefully get a more detailed report from Dengeki later in the day (assuming there's anything else to report on).
