Review Geforce 180.42: Far Cry 2 runs 30% faster
Author: Marc Sauter (Oct 21, 2008) - Like AMD's Far Cry 2 Hotfix Nvidia's Geforce 180.42 Beta is supposed to increase the performance in Ubisoft's latest shooter. We checked the current version for its capabilities.

Far Cry 2 hasn't been released yet, but nevertheless Nvidia released a Beta driver that is supposed to deliver performance boost for the Geforce cards. So the "green ones” do the same as AMD and release a optimized Far Cry 2 driver.

Results
The 180.42 increases the performance of the GTX 260 about 5 percent in DX9 mode and in Dx10 mode even 27 to 30 percent - but with Anti-Aliasing only. In DX10 mode the Geforce GTX 280, which is benched for the first time, reaches 84 percent of the performance of a Radeon HD 4870 X2 - without micro stuttering that is.

The DX10 mode with Ultra High settings runs faster than the DX9 mode with Ultra High settings. So Far Cry 2 is the first game that isn't just looking better on DX10 but also delivers a better performance. We can only speculate about the reasons for this, but it seems like Nvidia integrated some optimizations for the DirectX 10.1 features that are supported on DX10 boards - please take a look at the excerpt of our interview with the Far Cry 2 developers. We are currently investigating if the increased performance is reached by reducing the visual quality.

tưởng game nhẹ, ai ngờ cũng nặng kinh chứ cũng chả chơi. con 8800GT thế mà chạy max cũng được mười mấy FPS :|
 
Mấy bác sài X360 muốn chơi game texture cao thì đừng chỉnh lên 1080p làm gì (trừ khi coi phim), chỉnh lên 1080p texture low bà cố, FPS không ổn định (chơi Gears of War, Tony Hawk hay Army of Two sẽ biết). Game X360 đa số mặc định là 720p thôi (đó là lý do tại sao đĩa gốc thường ghi 720p ở mặt sau).

Hiện giờ trên PC chuẩn màn hình 22 inch đang phổ biến, nên khi bench coi cái 1680x1050 là đúng rồi, nếu chỉnh Res xuống thấp hơn dĩ nhiên FPS tăng lên chừng 15-20%

Sặc , ko hiểu bác copy bài này ở đâu nhưng cái thằng dịch nó dịch là ONLY 4 mission thì sai lòi , cái đấy nghĩa là 4 exclusive mission , nghìa là ngoài game ra thì nó kèm theo 4 mission nữa chứ ko phải chỉ có 4 mission. Nhưng 4GB hay 9GB thì cũng chẳng biết đâu là thật đâu là giả nữa. Nforce.nl thì cũng tùy lúc vì cái đêm GOW2 ra , tôi lên check ko thấy có , tưởng là giả nữa cơ

Cái bản trên là bản cho những đứa đặt hàng trước thì nó gửi cho cái đĩa có 4 nhiệm vụ để mà chơi, và đứa nào đó tung lên để lừa là bản full.

trên gamespot nó chấm điểm cho PC là 8.5 rồi các bác ơi !

8.5 cả 3 hệ rồi kìa, vậy mà bản PC vẫn bặt vô âm tín, cloneDVD vẫn chưa thấy đâu =))
 
Game này có 1 cái Bad dc kể là Map quá lớn ... đi tới đi lui nhiều dễ bị chán =))
 
nếu trên đó có thì bittorrent.ro cũng có mà đằng này lại không có chắc Fake::)

It's fake. There is .can file inside. Btw. For normal decrypting .can files you must have .can file, decrypting proggy and 5-DIGIT KEYCODE! But there is no any 5-digit keycodes. It's absolutely noob fake!

chậc, trên PC phát hành ngày 24 thì mấy bác cứ chờ. Nóng ruột làm gì cho mệt, từ giờ tới cuối năm thiếu gì game mà chơi ;))
 
game này mà 8.5 đ thì ko cạnh tranh 1 suất game hay nhất năm rùi ,buồn nhỉ :o
 
nhưng hiện tại ko có game gì để chiến đâyX(

Far Cry 2 looks best running on a PC, with clearer textures, better foliage, and less pop-in. The console versions also suffer from the occasional loading hitch when you're driving into a highly populated city.
