... here is the message I got when I tried to connect to Gendou anime music site today. And I was totally surprised ... since I haven't created any other account than "ipridian". Then I saw the reason I got banned. The IP address you have banned (please check if you don't believe me) is in fact the Vietnamese Proxy (203.160.1.xxx are all "gateways" to access the internet here, since we are in a country where there is little privacy and every data sent must undergo some "checkings" first.).
I should have attached a screenshot showing you clearly that this address is a proxy (using
http://www.proxydetect.com), but I haven't been able to actually take it...
But I have logged in a vietnamese forum and asked some other members (who also are members in Gendou Anime Music Site) if they have got the same message, and they also said that they were surprised too.
So I'm writing a message to the address you specified in the corpus of the ban message (and another to the email address supplied at the text below it), to tell you that you don't have in fact multiple accounts created by one person / one PC, but by one proxy server (a transparent one I guess). And by banning it, you have restricted about 70% of the people here in Vietnam to access your site. So I hope that you will understand me, and remove the ban. And if possible, install some sort of detector of proxy and log *client* IP addresses instead.
I know that without proof, this is hard to believe, but I will try my best to explain it :
As you may or may not know, the 203.162.xxx.xxx IP addresses have been given to Vietnam, as well as some more (which I do not know). It makes sense that the first IP range, that means 203.162.1.xxx will be owned by the government and Internet Providers, but since all Internet Providers are controlled by the government, they all use one/two gateways. (which by my research are 203.162.1.70 and 203.162.1.66, and some more that I don't know)
It is a "strong" proxy, meaning transparent, and so cuts off the client IP part when sending data.
In conclusion, it may have seemed to your website that some account were created by this "mysterious" same IP address ... which in fact is a proxy server.
So in the end, I hope you will read this message, and remove the ban if possible.
