On Monday, April 2nd, we will be turning the servers on and leaving them on 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
This is a huge step for us, and a huge risk. We hope that you'll bear with us as we figure out all the little issues that can occur during a 24/7 operation. We also need to limit our coverage for support and operations. Our operations team will generally only be available during business hours 10am- 6pm PST for server issues. They will, however, be on call during non-business hours to fix any issues that come up, but this is not guaranteed until we expand our operations staff to fully support 24/7 servers. Expect some rough patches after hours and on weekends.
...6h sáng mai giờ vn mới mở server.Hey all,
The servers won't be online until after we are able to get into the office tomorrow and clean things up from Saturday's beta. I would expect things to be online before 6pm Pacific, but we need to round up and make sure everything is ready to go before flipping the switch.
I'll post more in the morning. This is a huge step, we want to make sure we're doing it right. Time for the next phase of Firefall!
To start and add to a squad, type
/invite <your friend's name here>
In order for your friend to join, they must type
/accept
You can have a maximum number of five people per squad. A squad leader can queue his or her group up for PvP matches in order to play together.
The most important thing I'd like you guys to take away from this thread is that when you are grouping up in the open world, players that are not in the same instance of Coral Forest as their squad leader may join that instance by typing the following command:
/joinleader
It's really important that you guys get to play with your friends so we wanted to give this function special attention so you can play together. Please test it out and let us know what you think.
Thank you for your continuing support, we'll see you in beta!

Since our announcement yesterday about going 24/7 and lifting the NDA, I've been reading the forum reaction extensively.
The vast majority of you are extremely excited and we feel caught up in your enthusiasm. A few of you have raised good points and perhaps concerns that I thought we should address.
1) We're going 24/7 because you asked for it on uservoice.
We want to be really responsive to your feedback. One of the top issue you raised was testing times. You wanted to be able to test when you had time, and not on a rigid schedule. We listened. The "always-on" test will also allow us to observe server performance and apply fixes in a much more iterative and efficient manner.
2) 24/7 doesn't mean you have to play for 24/7.
Firefall is designed to be drop in, drop out, short interval play. We don't expect anyone to play 8 hours a day (some will). We are increasing times to let our European and other testers have more convenient times to get online. It will generate more feedback for us and more people in beta will be able to play.
3) The game is not yet finished. You are in Phase 2 of closed beta.
We're not done with the game, by a long shot. We are in phase 2, which is the start of PvE testing (Phase 1 was PvP). We have only one starting area and resource collection and crafting. This is not the whole game, and we know this. Content for Firefall is released in phases. Beta is still closed, and on an invite system with a small number of testers. There is much more to the game that will be released during beta over time.
4) We're lifting the NDA because we are an open and transparent company.
We want to be as open as possible, warts and all, so we can get the best feedback and be fair to our testers. It's simply not fair to show the beta at PAX in public, and then tell our testers they can't talk about the same game.
5) 24/7 and lifting the NDA does not mean the game is launched or in open beta.
We're not launching the game. We'll be in beta for some time. But we want to share features and content EARLY with our testers. Other companies don't do this, they show you finished features and your beta feedback at that point is too late to make significant changes. Firefall thrives on your feedback, and an early preview of features, even with placeholder art or sound, is the best way we can include the community in helping us shape the game.
Thanks for all the support, and the great critiques. I hope this clarifies what we're trying to do here and how we think about the process.
See you in beta!
