General Talk

I need to learn to curb my nature, guys. In class, I tend to become over-enthusiastic and try to answer everything my teacher asks, taking away the chance to talk from my friends.

i used to be like that too. Then i taught myself it's better to answer 1 difficult qn than 10 easy ones
 
Got a ticket for a performance of the London Philharmonic Orchestra :)). So happy rite now.

How much was it? These kinds of music is too high-brown for me, no way can I enjoy them. Oh, speaking of music, the upcoming liveshow of Bang Kieu in HCM city at October 25th is surely heating things up around here. He's just too perfect for me. He's not very handsome but excessively manly, let alone his charming voice. I can hardly wait for the show....
 
nobody in my class enjoys my music collection, because there are mostly piano OSTs (clannad, katawa shoujo, etc.) and anime vocal tracks (clannad, ab!). They all listen to catchy, cliche craps :( while i like beautiful arrangements and heavenly vocal :p

Well, everyone has their own taste. So you shouldn't judge your friends like that just because they listen to something mainstream. People who like catchy music are very friendly and flexible. But I do understand your viewpoint because my musical taste is also considered weird or indigestible by friends.

i used to like mainstream too, but that was years ago. Now i seriously cringe in disgust listening to them and can't even listen to the lyrics.

I guess the reason is that i have turned into a weirdo during my lonely years in a Singapore boys' school. Odd enough, i retain my feminity (not gay though), probably due to my detached and elitism nature

just finished this few days ago, been a long time since i read a novel and i can't believe how much emotion it gave me, i even welled up a little bit in some parts
or maybe i'm just become to sensitive :(

oh and yesterday i read the whole ten vols of Emma, a beautiful romance sets in Victorian-era England. Such a pleasant reading, it made me want to read some of Jane Austen's works, maybe even resuming Jane Eyre but too bad i don't have a copy right now :-<
