Square Enix has at long last shared final release and pricing info for Final Fantasy XIV.
The company's next MMORPG to follow Final Fantasy IX will officially see Windows release and service-in on September 30. This is a worldwide date.
The game will be offered in standard and Collectors Edition forms. Both are priced "open." The Collectors Edition will arrive early on the 22nd and will let buyers log in from that day.
As with FFXI, players will incur a monthly charge in order to play. Square Enix will be charging ¥1,344 for 30 days play time. All buyers will get their first 30 days free. See the official site for further pricing details.
This release information concerns just the PC version. The PlayStation 3 version is set for release in early March 2011. Pricing and usage fees for this version will be announced later, Square Enix said.
