What is the opening sequence? Last scene of Part 1, with Voldemort stealing the Elder Wand. Next we see WB sign. Then we see Snape looking out the Hogwarts tower. Then the title. After we see Harry outside of Dobby’s grave.
Do we see the flashback of the Potter’s deaths? Yes. During Snape’s memory
How is Tonks’ pregnancy and subsequent death handled? We hear about their son during the scene before HArry is about to “die.” He mentions Teddy to the resurrected Lupin then. We don’t see how Tonks dies.
How is Lupin’s death handled? We don’t see him die. Just the body laying next to Tonks. They’re hands stretched toward each other.
Do we see Lupin and Tonks fight? No. We see them about to fight.
Do Lupin and Tonks have many lines? Lupin has more lines. Don’t remember if Tonks says anything. But you see her!
How is Fred’s death handled? It’s so sad! First we see him get disarmed by a death eater. Later we see the Weasley’s crying over his body. Ron sobs over him. I couldn’t stop crying.
How is Percy’s “redemption” handled? Hardly. We just see him at the end with the Weasleys.
Does Mrs. Weasley say “NOT MY DAUGHTER YOU B***H”? YES! EPIC! it was perfect!
Do Hermione, Ginny, and Luna duel Bellatrix? I only saw Ginny duel Bellatrix, until Mrs. Weasley interfered.
Do Snape and McGonagall duel? Yes!
Where does Snape die? In a boat house on Hogwarts grounds.
What happens to Wormtail? We don’t see him in this one.
What happens to Lavender Brown (does Greyback attack her)? Yes, we see her get attacked by Greyback.
Where/when does Harry and Ginny’s kiss (or kisses) take place? Only one kiss. When Ginny sees Harry in the Room of Requirement, when he first gets to Hogwarts. It was just peck. Not a real exciting kiss.
How long/what happens in Harry and Voldemort’s duel? It’s pretty long. You see them fighting around the staircases in Hogwarts. They get to the tower and Harry grabs him and jumps off the tower. They struggle, flying in the air. At one point, it looks like they merged into one being. kind of creepy. finally, you see the part in the trailer where they’re dueling. Harry defeats him and Voldemort disintegrates.
Does Hagrid carry Harry? Yes.
Does Narcissa check to see if Harry is alive? Yes. But she doesn’t whisper to him, like in the book.
What happens to the Malfoys (specifically Lucius)? They flee once Harry comes back alive. You see them running away on the bridge that leads to Hogsmeade.
Why does Snape go to Godric’s Hollow/what else is added to Snape’s memories? It’s memory of when Snape found Lily dead in Godric’s Hollow. It was so sad. The rest of the memories are the same from the book. Snape’s memories = BEST PART OF THE MOVIE.
Does Nigel die? i don’t remember seeing him.
How is Goyle’s death handled (this was changed from the book)? He falls into a gulf of fire in the room of requirement.
What were the MAJOR plot changes from the book? No Dumbledore backstory!
How much do we see of Sprout and Trelawny? A little bit. You see them gathering bodies, tending to the injured.
Do Lupin or Greyback transform into werewolves? No.
Do Amycus and Alecto Carrow have any lines? Don’t think so.
How do they discover the Cup and the Diadem? They discover the Cup in Gringotts and Diadem in the room of requirement. just like the book.
What is the last scene before the epilogue? The trio standing on the broken bridge between Hogsmeade and Hogwarts. Harry breaks the Elder Wand and throws it off the bridge.
How does it transition to the epilogue? It fades to black and then you see the Potter family at the train station.
How long is the epilogue? like 3 minutes.
How is the destruction of the Cup in the Chamber of Secrets? Pretty cool. Hermione stabs it with the fang and a flood of water washes over Ron and Hermione and then they KISS!
How is Hermione and Ron’s kiss? Not as epic as I hoped. But it still made me cheer. Not like how it was in the book.
Why is there snow in Hogesmeade? I don’t know.
Are there dementors in Hogesmeade? Possibly.. didn’t show any.
Do we see much of Oliver Wood or Cho Chang? No Oliver Wood. Cho Chang we see in a couple scenes, in the room of requirement and when theyre gathering the dead bodies.
Does Scabior the snatcher die? Yes. When the bridge to Hogsmeade breaks off, he falls with it.
Does Neville say “I’ll join you when hell freezes over!”? I don’t think so… But he has an EPIC monologue when he talks to Voldemort!
Do Kingsley, McGonagall, and Slughorn duel Voldemort? No.
Do we see much of Bill and Fleur? At the cottage in the beginning.
Do we see much of Filtch, Slughorn, and Pomfrey? Filch has some funny scenes. We see Slughorn and Pomfrey a little at different moments.
Does Nagini chase Ron and Hermione? Yes
Is the Invisibility Cloak used? Yes, in the Gringotts heist
Do we see Kreacher? No.
Roughly, how long is the battle and how many parts are there? The entire battle is about half the movie. It’s very faithful to the book. I guess like 3 battles.
Is the Bellatrix/Molly duel amazing/is her death epic? Yes! And Bella’s dearh is perfect! She disintegrates when she dies.
What Death Eater travels with the trio and Griphook in Gringotts? No. Death Eater. Just Hermione as Bella, and Ron dressed as one.
Do we see more of Yaxley and Pius Thicknesse? Not really.
Does anyone die in the film that doesn’t die in the book? No.
Does the viewer know Harry is alive after his “death”? Not exactly.
How is King’s Cross? Very white and bright. Clean. Very ethereal looking. The bloody ugly baby is gross.
Does George cry over Fred’s body? George is standing over the body crying.
How big is Hagrid’s part? You just see him when Voldemort has him tied when he “kills” Harry. Then when Hagrid carries Harry. Harry hugs Hagrid after the entire battle.
Do we see the Ravenclaw tower? Yes.
Are there any “battle cries”? Yeah, nothing really stands out.
Who burns the Quittich pitch/do giants use the goal posts as clubs? We see the Quidditch pitch get torn down. But we don’t see who. No giants in the Quidditch field.
What happens in the clip from the first trailer when Hermione and Ron are backing away from something? Theyre backing away from Nagini.
How are the spiders, giants, and thestrals handled? It’s chaos during the battle. We see the spiders everywhere, and giants stomping around. I didn’t see thestrals.
Does Draco help Harry in any way? No.
Does anyone save Harry, Ron, and Hermione from dementors? Aberforth protects the castle from a wave of dementors.
How are Aberforth’s scenes handled? Aberforth’s scenes were great. I just wish they told Albus’ backstory!
How is Dumbledore’s back story handled? Hardly. They mention his sister but nothing else.
How is the pacing of the film? Fast in the beginning. Great pacing in the middle and end.
Does it have a chance at any Oscars? Yes! All the technical categories and I want to say Best Picture.
Do the House Elves of Hogwarts fight in the battle? No.
Does Voldemort destroy Malfoy Manor or Gringotts? Gringotts.
On a scale from 1 to 10, how good is the cinematography? Couldn’t tell, too much green screen.
Does Neville still get the sword from the Sorting Hat? yes.
Does it ignite in flames on his head? no.
Does Kingsley take charge of/organizes the battle; if not, who? Kingsley does take charge in the beginning.
Do the treasures in Gringotts burn and multiply? It’s multiplies but doesn’t burn.
How is it discovered that there are imposters in Gringotts/what happenes? The enchanted waterfall when they are going to the vault tips them off that there are intruders. The imperio one of the goblins to get in Bella’s vault. They escape by dragon.
Does HBC do a good job playing Hermione playing Bellatrix? Yes. It’s funny.
How does Harry react after seeing Snape’s memories? Sad. But determined to do the right thing.
What happens when Harry “dies”? It all goes white and then you see him at King’s Cross.
Are there any montages? Yes. Snape’s memories are a montage.
What is the scene when Filtch is walking and there is an explosion behind him? I don’t know..
Is Teddy in the epilogue? no.
Do the “defenders of Hogwarts” still come in through the Room of Requirement? yes.
Do we see any of Cormac, Leanne, Kaite Bell? We see them in the room of requirement. Cormac again when he passing around cocoa to everyone.
How much do we see of Dean and Seamus? More than expected! Dean is in a few scenes! Seamus we see in a couple.
What happens after Harry kills Voldemort? Voldemort disintegrates.
How is the scene in Dumbledore’s office after Voldmort is dead? No scene in Dumbledore’s office after he dies.
Do they evacuate the younger students? I assume so. They didn’t show it. McGonagall orders the Slytherins to the dungeon.
Is there a scene on the Hogwarts Express? In the epilogue. We see the kids on the train.
Is the train station guy from films 1 and 2 in the epilogue? I don’t think so.
