WinXP : bấm phải chuột vào My Documents trên Desktop > chọn properties > Chọn Move > Chọn thư mục sẽ làm My Documents và dĩ nhiên đừng chọn ở ổ C:

phần D and Setting thì hầu hết là để chứa mấy cái file setting của soft và game thôi mà :(

Thế bác cứ format ổ cứng rồi chép vài GB dữ liệu vào 6 lần trong 2h liên tục xem, giảm thọ ko cho biết

ghost đâu có giảm tuổi thọ của máy. kể cả giảm thì có bằng chứng gì không?
tui xài máy đến giờ ghost không biết bao nhiêu lần (cứ tầm 2 tuần lại ghost) vì không cài antivirus. HDD bây giờ vẫn hoạt động bình thường không hề hỏng hóc

Thì Ghost đầu tiên nó sẽ format ổ C, sau đó nó bung file Ghost ra (file ghost trắng chỉ có Window + 2 3 soft cần thiết cỡ 800MB, bung ra cũng 1Gb mấy), mà làm liên tục mỗi ngày chăc đi sớm

đó là do file ghost nó nén lại đó chứ.

To move the entire Documents and settings folders is relatively simple ... just a little fiddly

Just moving My Documents is easy enough ... the problem is - when you only move my documents onto another drive or partition and then find yourself in a crash and burn situation ... you preserve your data but lose your settings cookies, favourites ... in fact everything that makes your machine yours.

So you have three options ....
1 Installing from new
2 Modify a single user
3 Modify the whole shooting match

When starting fresh
first you need to use sysprep to create an answer file (renamed to winnt.sif) once you have it - open in notepad and in the
[GuiUnattended] section add the line ProfilesDir="d:\documents and settings"

Then either burn a new install disc with winnt.sif added to the i386 folder .... of copy it to a floppy ... boot from CD ... as soon as you see press any key to boot ... hit a key and IMMEDIATELY push the floppy into the drive.

Remember when you start - create and format two partitions - if you don't the install still runs ... but windows won't boot up.

If you already have a working system ....
Start by searching out Microsoft's KB236621 document - this pretty much covers the theory.
Your buggest problem is the prospect of modifying well over 100 entries.

Visit http://bladesdev.com/
and download RegReplace - it's shareware.
tick the "value names" and "value contents" options
then search for;
c:\Documents and Settings\......
as well as
%USERPROFILE%\......
and replace with d:\documents and settings\

reboot .... and away you go

Becareful when you replace %USERPROFILE%\......

It shouldn't be simply replaced by d:\documents and settings\

as %USERPROFILE% contains the user name for each user ... should replace by

d:\documents and settings\%USERNAME%\

Also will need to replace entries containing
%SystemDrive%\Documents and Settintgs
by
d:\Documents and Settings

Đọc 4 trang, thấy ai cũng bảo ghost nữa chừng là bị cấm ?!

Cho mình hỏi về Ghost 1 chút, vì chưa làm lần nào cả, mình đọc nhiều bài rồi nhưng bài nào cũng nói ô đĩa format kiểu NTFS không hỗ trợ cho lắm

Gặp phần máy mình có 1 ổ đĩa lại format NTFS nữa, zay mình có nên xài ghost không ?

FAT, FAT32, hay NTFS đều có thể ghost đc hết bạn ạ ... :)

Thê máy mình có một ổ đĩa à, là cũng là ổ đĩa cài Window, nếu mình muốn ghost ổ đĩa đó và save lại ngay trên ổ đĩa đó lun được không bạn

có 1 partition thì ghost không được rồi, vì nó đòi hỏi phải lưu ghost ở partition khác hay đĩa khác...

zay cho mình hỏi cái file ghost mình nén lại bằng winrar chia ra 2 part rồi copy ra đĩa được không bạn

nếu dùng winrar thì phải ghép lại trước khi bung ghost
Trong Ghost cũng có chức năng split file
ghost.exe -split=600 -auto
(600 là 600MB)
