As reported earlier today, God Eater 2 has been confirmed for PlayStation Portable in this week's Famitsu. The sequel will be released in 2012.
A few details have leaked out of the magazine. The game will take place three years following the events of the original. Players will find new male and female main characters, new weapons like the Boost Hammer and Charge Spear, and new Aragami creatures (these are the big baddies you fight against -- I think they're the gods that you're eating, but I'm not sure).
The game will also have an all new system: the "Engage System." No word on what this new system is just yet.
Perhaps most intriguingly, the sources that are sharing all this info from Famitsu say that the game has a new visual style. It apparently looks like Square Enix's Final Fantasy Type-0.
We'll hopefully get a look at God Eater 2 at Sony's press conference tonight. If not, it will probably be shown at tomorrow's Namco Bandai Tokyo Game Show press conference.
No, Army Corps of Hell and Lord of Apocalypse aren’t the same game as we once jokingly suggested. Lord of Apocalypse is a separate game, for both PSP and PlayStation Vita, and is a follow-up to Lord of Arcana (right).
The game reportedly features character designs by Tsubasa Masao, who was involved with games such as Metal Gear Acid and Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner.
