Today, NeoWiz Games (CEO, Sang Yeop Lee) has released first official news about "Project H", our upcoming MMORPG which has been publishing contracted with NeoWiz Games. Unfortunately the project is still under progress and will require about a month to release the screenshots and the teaser movie. However, we are very pleased to finally be able to tell you the official title for the "Project H".
RaiderZ is the title of our newest MMORPG which was previously known as the "Project H". The project is developed since January, 2006 until now and our goal is to start the open beta testing during the first quarter of 2011. (in Korea)
RaiderZ derived from the word "Raiders" like invaders, and just as GunZ its "s" is replaced with "Z". The title contains various implicated meanings.
1. The players explore the planet "Velix" and encounter the unknown invasive creatures and will discover their secrets and fight against them.
2. Our main content of the game is "Raid", a massive war with a mighty boss. ("Raid" feature has been fascinated by many games fans since EverQuest)
3. We’ve replaced "s" with "Z" as an influence from our major title "GunZ the Duel" and we wanted to convey the feeling that this game is "MMORPG created by those who created GunZ" (but this doesn’t mean that we are going to put z in every game we make.)
"RaiderZ" started from a thought "wish GunZ gameplay connects to MMORPG" at the very initial state of its development. At first we simply thought that "why not convert the GunZ quest mode to MMORPG? It would be great and so easy!?" But through many years of development, we have regretted for having such idiotic ideas after going through many troubles and trials.
We've redone the whole animations over six times each and the program team had to delete and redo the coding for so many functions because it wasn't just fun.
But even until now our main aim is the same as the beginning.
"Reinterpret MMORPG to Action game"
"RaiderZ" as MMORPG, contains many other features other than what was mentioned above, and we are working our best to blend the basis of MMORPG's game characteristics to the action game play.
Since there is nothing like seeing for oneself, we hope you to view our teaser site and the movie which we are putting a lot of effort into. Please tune in again with the new information which will be introduced during May!

"Reinterpret MMORPG to Action game"
The main features of "RaiderZ" described at the press release today are as following.
1. The gameplay is based on what's recently called the "Non-Targeting". This is not to go along with the recent game trend in Korea but as described before we wanted to make a "MMORPG like GunZ". "MMORPG like GunZ" doesn't necessarily mean that the characters should run along the wall or does k-style - Yes, you cannot do that in RaiderZ. It is a gameplay which requires user's skill and control to hit and evade as shown on the screen at the mouse cursor less environment. Our development team had to struggle for quite some time due to the inconvenience and lack of immediacy and the difficulty of development of the "Non-Targeting" feature.
2. The game play mainly consists of fighting against large monsters called "Epic Monsters". This doesn't mean that there are only large monsters in the game. Like other MMORPG games, the users can fight against small & regular sized monsters and there are many quests related to those monsters. But as the game systems, the game leads to have battles with large monsters and our goal is to be fun even just with that.
3. The monsters or quests won't give any equipment or money as reward. Even the shops will have limited types of items and the users will have to find the "Artisan" NPCs to acquire the items. We wanted to make the item collecting fun and convenient, in order to give infinite motivations to play for the game players.
4. There are NO class system. But among over 350 skills(for Open Beta version) the users can use points to the skills that the user wish to learn and create a character of their own. Our intention is to break out the restrictions of other traditional MMORPG system and enhance the quality of gameplay experience. For example we want to make it possible to have a magician to use "Fireball" wearing plate armor or a priest who can use "Sneak".
