Suikoden Battle System Screens and Details

The game has an encounter battle system. When you run into an enemy on the field, you'll enter into a turn-based battle.

Battles are fought as a party of six. You can freely create your party, placing your characters in a three-by-three grid.

Characters can team up for group attacks, with their favor for one-another determining the amount of bonus they receive.

The game also has a "skill transmission system." You'll learn skills from characters from the past who are in your party.

When you fight alongside past heroes who are of the same job as your character, you can learn skills from them.

Your characters have one of eight job types. However, by making equipment changes, you can turn your character into a sub job type.

It’s been years since the last Growlanser game (Growlanser: Heritage of War was released for PS2 back in 2007). Even before that, hardcore RPG fans have been clamoring for the fourth entry, one of their favorites in the series, to make its way to North America. Now, there are always factors for games released in Japan to either never come or come much, much later to US shores. This was one of those cases where hope seemed quite faint.
Just this past week, those hopes were given a prescription-strength injection of horse steroids as Atlus, officially announced Growlanser: Wayfarer of Time, the enhanced PSP version of the long-beloved and much-requested fourth chapter in the popular series of RPGs, for release this summer in North America.

Accel World announced for PlayStation 3, PSP

Namco Bandai is developing a video game adaption of the light novel / upcoming anime Accel World for PlayStation 3 and PSP, this week’s Dengeki PlayStation has revealed. The game is a strategy title where player Avatars face against each other in one-on-one battles.

Arc System Works made BlazBlue: Continuum Shift Extend a PlayStation Vita launch title, but they haven’t forgotten about the PSP. A PSP port is planned for release in late May, according to Famitsu.

BlazBlue: Continuum Shift Extend for PSP will have Relius Clover and a new BlazBlue quiz mode.

BlazBlue: Continuum Shift Extend will retail for 5,040 yen ($64) or 4,500 yen ($57) as a PSN download.
