(SCEI) has implemented a territorial-based distribution system for its hardware, peripherals, and software. This limits the use of any particular software to play on the system designated for that distribution territory. You may also experience problems if you attempt to use memory sticks, controllers, etc. from a different region on then your system.
To redeem a voucher code or PSN card on your account, the account will need to match the region of the voucher or card. These codes also include Online Passes.
If you would like to redeem a voucher from Asia or Europe, I recommend creating a account that matches the region of the voucher code.
