Laughing Jackal seems to be following in the footsteps of FuturLab with the announcement of Hungry Giraffe for Vita. This minis to Vita remake will be seeing quite a few enchancements when it comes out later this year.
Trophies – Show off your giraffe feeding skills with Laughing Jackal’s shiny range of Trophies
Online Leaderboards – Compare your Hungry Giraffe scores with the best players from around the world.
All-new Store menu – Eat calories in-game then spend them on upgrades and power-ups in the Store.
Three new skins – Fed up of gobbling your way from the savannah to the skies as a giraffe? Then why not use our fabulous reindeer, emu and snake skins.
Brand new Angel Feather power-up – If you find yourself falling to your almost certain doom why not try and catch yourself with the ever-useful Angel Feathers?
Amazing upgrades – Use your calories to unlock later Stages, nerf the effects of poison, pills and weights, get more boost from low-calorie foods, store more Hard Hats, give Chillies a better kick and more!
Digital Game Guide – See our gameplay hints and tips and learn about more about the content of the game.
I wonder if Laughing Jackal will take a cue from Halfbrick and make Hungry Giraffe free to play. With Jetpack seeing over 1,000,000 players so far in 2013, it might not be a bad idea, especially with the calorie/store mechanics that are being added.
If you want to check out the Hungry Giraffe on your Vita right now, there is a version of the game on PlayStation Mobile. While it doesn’t have the above enchantments, it is still a blast to play. We will be sure to let you know more about the native Vita version when get more details.

A new Danganronpa could be in development for PlayStation Vita, if a tease at the end of this morning’s Sony PS Vita news broadcast is anything to go by.
After a sizzle trailer showcasing of all the platform’s upcoming games, Danganronpa mascot Mono Bear popped up in the bottom right of the screen for a brief second before taking his leave.
When contacted by Famitsu, a Chunsoft public relations rep would not comment on Mono Bear’s appearance.
i’ll get it as long as its under $9.99 and Cross-buy.
