?xóa RTW 2 tháng nay rồi, chẳng lẽ lên tor down lại chỉ để test custom game :(Chả biết nữa.
. Cuổi cùng do voi mệt quá phát điên nên chariot close victory:whew:.
, cuối cùng bị voi nó bắn chết hết.

[RTW AAR] The Selucide Empire, rebuilding Alexander the Great and more
Prelude
Take heart my child, for the tale that is about to unfold is a great one. One that I myself have experienced, one that you shall see, one that shall live on forever.
Part I
Chapter 1: Beginnings
The year is 270 BC, Alexander the Great left his empire in the middle east to Antiochus and the Selucid Empire was formed.
![]()
Antiochus had ambitions, ambitions for a greater empire, he wanted it all, he wanted to own Ptolemy's egypt and everything else. He wanted to surpass even Alexander! Alas, Antiochus did not have enough men, so he first had to muster an army, the greatest army the world has ever seen!
Pretty soon contact was established with the nations of Pontus, Parthia, and Armenia. Antiochus, being as smart as he is, knew one probably all of them were going to betray his fledgling kingdom. Antiochus's supsicions were confirmed. Armenia, that dirty rat of a nation, betrayed him and laid siege to Hatra
![]()
Chapter 2: Dawn of battle
Antiochus began to plan on taking Egypt, he planned with a son-in-law, Choerilos of Ace. Antiochus ordered him to take a entourage of 2 regiments of raw recruited Levy Pikes, a band of Skirmishers, and one contingent of militia cavalry south to begin his attack on Egypt.
the Egyptian Pharoh soon responded, he sent a general by the name of Kiya to do battle with him. Stupid Pharoh.
![]()
Knowing the boundaries of the battlefield, Choerilos deployed his troops in a corner thinking Kiya would rush stupidly into his phalanxes. however that was not the case. Kiya stayed back like a coward and fired arrows. pretty soon the Nubian Phalanxes were ready to engage.
![]()
The skirmishers began to unload on the Nubians, felling a small portion of them. Then the Nubians engaged the levies.
![]()
already weakened by the exchange of arrows, the levy pikes were losing heart. Choerilos decided to move the militia hoplites to engage the Nubian's flank
![]()
the Nubians broke soon after, then upon seeing his Levy pikemen being further destroyed by the arrows, Choerilos charged straight into the egyptian bowmen
![]()
Kiya soon charged in his chariot, and Choerilos withdrew knowing if he died his men would just run. and left the chariots to charge into the militia hoplites.
![]()
they lost a couple chariots, and withdrew. Kiya, the coward he was, ran from battle.
![]()
it was all over. the damage was done, one regiment of levy pikemen was completely devastated.
but the battle was won
![]()
Chapter 3: Traitors from the north
The traitorous Armenians finally launched their siege at Hatra
![]()
the leader of the garrison was Captain Autesion. Physically, he was tall and broad, well built by years of training. He was a hero of the town. Day to day he would help out with every chore or physical labor. People could count on him to get things done. However, upon hearing of the impending Armenian threat he enlisted. Instantly he was elevated to a captain out of respect.
![]()
The siege started out with a skirmisher shower of spears upon the peasants. a good deal of peasants died
![]()
However after this shower of spears, the ram never budged. Was it because of their fear for the heirs of alexander?
![]()
during this standstill Captain Autesion decided the peasants needed some exercise and training. He made them run around the city once.
![]()
panting out of breath, the peasants ran back.
"whew, that was hard," said one peasant wiping the sweat from his brow
however, one peasant had unknowingly slipped open the gate and let the Armenians charge in. It was over in an instant.
![]()
Then the gate closed behind the Armenians. closing out the horse archers from getting in, Autesion had won a battle!

Chapter 4: Ambitions of an Angel
"Choerilos!" A call came.
"I told you to adress me as-"
"Antiochus!!!...Antiochus..." panted the messenger.
"Slow down soldier," said Choerilos
"Antiochus is dead"
"Father is dead? Impossible"
"The lady sent me to bring you the news"
"Then I shall carry on with Father's ambitions, even though he didn't deem me his heir, I will carry out his ambitions as is my rightful duty. Prepare to attack!"
with that Choerilos ordered the attack on the egyptian city he was besieging.
![]()
The battle unfolds: After a rousing speech by Choerilos the eastern mercenaries batter down the gate. soon after the newest regiment of Levy Pikemen lead the first charge through the gate.
![]()
![]()
eventually the cowardly Nubian's retreat out of fear.
then they counter attack after the pikes have moved through the gate.
![]()
after they ward off the counter attack they bring the rest of the army into the city. the second division of pikes is bought around to the other side where the pharoh is slaughtered trying to charge through.
![]()
they get to the center plaza and corner the last phalanx of nubians. they use the hammer and anvil tactic and finish them off.
![]()
young Choerilos has taken the first step toward fulfilling his Father-in-law's ambitions!
Chapter 5: Seeds to be planted
It was a proud day for the Selucid nation, as well as a proud day for Helike. She was to be married to Ioalas a man of great stature. He was 32 at the time. He was a great garrison commander, someone who trained the soldiers well and knew what he was doing. It was a fine marriage.
![]()
Bad news soon arrived, the armenian imbeciles besieged Hatra again. The terrified peoples once again looked to Autesion to defend them yet again in this moment.
![]()
As if that was not enough, the Egyptians attacked Sidon. It was time for Choerilos to prove his worth again. Choerilos was outnumbered 2-1, he had to tread carefully on the sword edge.
![]()
The front gate was already busted open as the selucid engineers failed to repair the gate. As a result the Egyptians dropped 2 of their rams and had an all out rush to the gate. Leading this charge were many lightly armed skirmishers and archers.
![]()
It was an intense fight, with the pikemen able to eliminate a good deal of them by skewering them upon their pikes, but eventually the mass of numbers condensing through the gate was too much and some of the pikemen had to draw swords. The battle turned very bloody very fast.
![]()
Meanwhile, the rams that the Egyptians hadn't dropped broke through the walls where the militia hoplites and eastern mercs were stationed.
![]()
The Egyptian charge was held back temporarily, but even those with hearts of hercules will begin to lose heart after awhile.
![]()
As the militia hoplites fled Choerilos ordered all men back to the central plaza. This was to be their last avenue of defense, but instead of ordering his men to take a defensive stance, rather he ordered his cavalry units into offensive positions throughout the streets. Soon enough the overconfident Nubians came marching to the center square. They aimed at the small unit of Militia hoplites who looked weak and tired from the fighting. Out of nowhere Choerilos plunged straight into the rear of the Nubian phalanx.
![]()
The Nubians, tired from fighting fled almost instantaneously. A second Nubian phalanx made the same mistake.
![]()
It was over in an instant.
![]()
The siege was won. Choerilos had proved he was capable of command, he was a man marked by the gods, one who was favored by those sitting on the throne of heaven.
![]()
In Antioch, the newly built barracks yielded the new phalanx pikemen. People lined the streets to see the first ranks file out of the barracks and parade around the city. Sporting polished new shields, one could look in and see their own face with a brownish sheen to it. The Sarissa's formed a forest of brown. One could only wait for what would become of the new backbone of the Selucid army
Chapter 6 Falling Rain
The news spread like a tidal wave throughout the whole city. It was carried on by the townspeople as wood feeds the fire. Someone had died. Not just anyone, but the lady herself! The lady who formed one of the greatest pillars of Antiochus's ambitions. All across the Selucid empire there was grieving. The lady was known for her stalwart attitude, governing only herself, but still supporting her husband. The funeral procession was long. For not only did the procession contain the lady, but Antiochus with it. It was his wish for them to be buried at the same time. The Gods themselves watched over the funeral procession. As the funeral procession started, a drop of rain hit the coffin. All around drops of rain fell not only from the sky, but from the faces of people, hitting the cobblestone street and shattering like glass. If one was able to see from the heavens themselves, they could see as the whole empire turned black, all across the empire people donned black rather than their tunics. Long term veterans who knew Antiochus donned their old armor, a relic of the feats of Alexander, as well as a reminder of service in the Companions, and rode alongside the coffins. As the catacomb was opened, people cryed out "Antiochus!!! Antiochus!!! Antiochus the Mighty!!!" As a pair, the lovers accompanied each other in death, as they did in life, never leaving the other, promising to stay with each other until their lives faded.
![]()
Though Antiochus and his wife died, their ambitions thrived. Carried on by a zeal so great, the people of Selucid sought out to make their beloved leader's dreams come true.
Chapter 7 Lion of the East
The yea was now 264 BC. Ioalas, husband of Halike, now 32, launched the campaign against Egypt. He headed south and besieged Jerusalem.
----The command tent----
Sir, our scouts have reported multiple Egyptian regiments moving into position to launch an attack. -Selucid Captain
Interesting.... Egyptian dogs. They shall taste the selucid pikes. We will skewer them like a boy skewers bugs with sticks. We will wait for them to show their damned faces on the battlefield-Iolas
With that, Ioalas walked out of the tent, and called for a meeting amongst his troops.
My men! Tommorrow the damned egyptians will attack us! Tough you've never fought with me, I feel like tommorrow will be a victory for us! I feel sorry for the Egyptian mother-lovers! For they have to fight against the brave men of Selucid! It wont be fair, especially when their own mothers see them and have to clean their own damn wounds! Now join me! Grab that jug of wine! Drink a few tonight! Then let us send the Egyptian asses back to their mothers!!! -Ioalas
-The next morning
![]()
After a rousing speech, Ioalas deployed his troops. Scouts had reported that the Egyptians were still far off, so Ioalas ordered water to be handed out and that the men could put down their sarissas for awhile. After half an hour, the Egyptians could be seen on the horizon.
"finally," said a Selucid Phalanx captain.
The men began to grip their Sarissa's then picked up their small shields. It was a brilliant day, the sun shone brightly, the skys were clear. To accompany such a clear day their was a wind. The wind whistled through the dense forest of Sarissas, a low whisper noise could be heard. Ioalas thought he heard the wind call out his name. He shook his head to clear it out of his mind.
The chariots of the Egyptian chariot started firing arrows, not far behind them was the main army. The arrows felled some of the men, but the men of selucid didnt let such a trivial thing dampen their mood! Soon enough the Nubian phalanxes began to close in on the Selucids. Right behind them was the Egyptian desert cavalry.
![]()
The sarrisa's, longer than the nubian pike, was able to stab most of the nubians before they even got close enough to touch a pikeman. The horsemen who charged quite stupidly died in the masses.
'![]()
It was over pretty fast, the nubians broke, and the peasants in reserve didnt feel like fighting after Ioalas crushed a few skulls.

Bác này nói j` kì thế, bọn nó mà càn nhau thì chết nhiều lắm. Mà bác có biết cách full charge ko đấy?Voi chiến vs chariot: voi chiến có cung, chariot cũng có cung, 2 bên ko giáp lá cà mà đứng so xì-kiu hét-sọt. Chariot chắc toàn tuyển mắt lé loạn thị nên đứng yên bắn con voi bự vậy mà cũng chả trúng con nào, cuối cùng bị voi nó bắn chết hết.
