Everything your guild members do reflects on your guild and if even one of your members is botting your guild will be generalized as a bunch of botters, and if bots are constantly seen in your guild your legit members will be seen as botters as well
My experience with guilds having bots in them is that the members are either making alt accounts to farm in-game money/power level them, or the guild itself is composed solely of botters for a farming website
I have talked to several of VE's members and most of them are very nice, but I'm starting to have problems as some of them decide to kill me without warning (when I'm by myself, I notice none of them will even approach me unless they need a party or are in a party), I take it as playful PK and since I'm not afraid of friendly PK I call for a full party to go play back, but after the first time they drop they seem to either multiply or disappear, it's actually quite frustrating to have to deal with all day when I'm trying to be nice to them
This same scenario played out with Shinsei (not sure if I spelled that right) the other day, it was one of them and 5 other random people (without guild tags) in the persons party that were PKing random people with the Atrocity guild tag, when I called for a party formation and it was 6v6, it stayed 6v6, they didn't disappear or multiply into 30 people magically before everyones eyes, and you know what, when it was over they didn't talk crap, they didn't decide to complain, they just laughed with us and we all went and leveled
Now a couple people have already argued that if a guild has a large player base it will be hard to control, but that is why you start with a solid "core" player base, you can have 500+ members and control them fairly well without much effort if you are an experienced leader, what I see is happening with VE is they invited past their "core" players limits and are struggling to keep them in check, when someone comes to me and says one of our members just KS'd them or PK'd them for no reason I try and resolve the problem, I don't come up with excuses for why the problem exists in the first place
Either say you don't care and accept the fact you are zerg'd or show us you care about what your guild looks like to the rest of the community and deal with the members that are causing problems
In the defense of VE you can't expect them to kick everyone you "suspect" of being a bot, you coming up with a SS of someone's character doesn't prove anything, it might get the leaders to look at the member more closely but really no one can do anything with what you have given
If you have a problem with one of VE's members you need to let the leader know (as calmly and as professionally as possible) if the leader does not respond or responds rudely then that is when you have a right to complain, the leaders cannot do anything if they are not aware of the problem, and you simply saying it's their job to find out only complicates the problem
Ohh, and I heard this a couple times in-game
"Why only kill Viet players, you're racist against Viet"
I'm sure none of the guilds (that I know of) are racist against any other nationality and it's extremely offensive to assume someone is simply because you are of a different nationality
Although if you think about it, if you are going to try and represent your nationality by including it in your guild name you would think the guild would be more careful with the reputation that guild comes to possess and would be very concerned with people reflecting negatively on the guild and by extension their nationality
