Description

In the world of action-RPGs, Falcom's Ys series is the sad underdog. Despite the fact that the Japanese practically have a annual holiday for it, Ys has remained unfortunately obscure outside of its homeland. Maybe this due to the burden of being saddled with a slightly unpronounceable name (hint: it sounds like "ease"), and its full title - Ancient Ys Vanished Omens - is a grammatical quandary of tremendous proportions. Or maybe it's because they never really appeared on mainsteam systems in America - the original games were released on the Master System and Turbografx-16 CD, hardly places for them to truly show gamers what they're all about - fast paced action and adventure in faraway lands, damsels in distress, and some of the best music in the history of all video gaming.

Description

Magical Battle Arena, probably one of the most hyped up and anticipated Doujin games was finally released at the recent Comiket. Having already gotten the full game through cough'certain'cough means, I've decided to do some character coverage. Whether this will continue, I have no idea.

If you don't know what MBA is, it is a Doujin Game made by Fly featuring various magical girls from many seres, Nanoha, CCS and Slayers and more. The game is a 3D - Fighter, taking a FPV. The controls are easy to learn as the special moves are fixed for all of the Characters.

Description

SOE là câu chuyện về sự phân tranh giữa Tần, Sở, Ngụy... xảy ra tại Trung Quốc khoảng hơn 200 năm trước công nguyên. Lúc này, Tần Thủy Hoàng đang ra sức thu phục dần các nước khác để thống nhất Trung Hoa. Tuy nhiên, quân Tần gặp phải sự kháng cự quyết liệt của bộ tộc Baiyun ở Tây Nam do tù trưởng Lan Xiong lãnh đạo. Trong buổi lễ thần chiến tranh (God of War), tù trưởng Lan Xiong bỗng chết bất ngờ, không rõ nguyên nhân. Con gái tù trưởng là Lan Wei, một phù thuỷ trẻ, vô cùng đau khổ, quyết làm rõ nguyên nhân cái chết của cha nàng. Vô tình cô biết được bí mật về những hòn đá của Hoàng Đế (vị thần được xem là tổ tiên của người Trung Quốc). Truyền thuyết cho rằng, nếu sưu tập đủ 5 viên đá này thì có thể hồi sinh được người chết. Vì thế, Lan Wei và các bạn cùng lên đường đi tìm 5 viên đá mà không biết đang rơi vào cạm bẫy của Chi You, vị thần mà họ tôn thờ.

Cốt truyện chính là thế, nhưng khi vào cuộc người chơi sẽ gặp hết bất ngờ này đến bất ngờ khác. Những tình tiết thắt-mở rất hợp lý, đan xen tạo nên cốt truyện hấp dẫn, tựa như đang đọc một cuốn tiểu thuyết võ hiệp. SOE có khoảng 9 chương, trong đó có 5 chương kể về cuộc đời của các nhân vật. Mỗi câu chuyện đều có những tình tiết hấp dẫn, đôi lúc người chơi còn có thể tham gia vào các sự kiện trong quá khứ để hiểu thêm về cốt truyện.
