Game này khác ở chỗ là bạn điều khiển nhân vật ở góc nhìn từ trên xuống cùng với 3 người chơi khác để hoàn thành nhiệm vụ và sống sót trong một khu vực đầy quái vật (cái tên Alien Swarm nói rõ điều đó rồi).

- 4. Tech: class duy nhất có thể hack được các bảng mạch và một số màn đòi hỏi phải có tech mới hoàn thành nhiệm vụ được. Ngoài ra hắn có thể đặt sentry gun nhanh hơn so với các class khác.

- Đừng có dại mà đi một mình. Trong trò này mà làm cái kiểu rambo thì có mà bị bọn quái hội đồng hiếp chết luôn
