Tales of Innocence R for Vita, Tales of the Heroes for PSP announcements leaked

New developments surrounding the upcoming Tokyo Game Show Tales announcement (or announcements, in today’s case) have surfaced.

According to Japanese internet sleuth PecpvbY4, who regularly posts leaked information from the latest V-Jump, Namco will announce two new Tales games at the Tokyo Game Show.

The first is a new PSP game called Tales of the Heroes: Twin Brave for PSP. The second is a remake, Tales of Innocence R, for PlayStation Vita.

As pointed out by Abyssal Chronicles, the domain toi-r.namco-ch.net is working, but returning “403 Forbidden” warnings. A domain such as toter.namco-ch.net (a made-up acronym) simply doesn’t load.

Scans of the games have yet to surface.

A few preliminary details have leaked out about Sony's surprise Tokyo Game Show lineup from this week's Famitsu. Assuming this is legit (and it usually is), here's what we'll be hearing about later in day at Sony's big press conference:

* Jikoku no Gundan (Armies of Hell): Square Enix, PlayStation Vita
* Lord of Apocalypse: Square Enix, PlayStation Vita and PSP
* Ys: Falcom, PlayStation Vita
* God Eater 2: Namco Bandai, PlayStation Portabe

Of these, Armies of Hell is planned for launch. It will support four player simultaneous play and apparently looks at first glance like a mix of Musou (Dynasty Warriors) and Monster Hunter.

Lord of Apocalypse has character designs from Tsubasa Masao, who previously worked on Four Warriors of Light, Tactics Ogre and various Kojima Productions titles.

This week’s Famitsu is beginning to leak, and it contains more announcements for Vita… and PSP. The magazine has revealed a remake of Ys 4, Armies of Hell, Lord of Apocalypse, and God Eater 2.

Armies of Hell and the Ys project are for Vita. Lord of Apocalypse appears to be for both Vita and PSP, and God Eater 2 is for PSP only.

Armies of Hell is likely the game that Square Enix began to tease last week. We should be receiving the first batch of details soon.
