Famitsu has first details on not one, but two Square Enix PlayStation Vita games this week. Here's what we've heard so far on Armies of Hell and Lord of Apocalypse.
Armies is set in hell, where you face off against demons. You take control of an army of 100 goblins, and must defeat roaming demons as you advance. The game will support four player simultaneous play.
Square Enix is teaming up with developer Enterphere for the game's development (official site here). The game will have a song from United.
Armies of Hell will launch with the PlayStation Vita (the magazine does not say when that is).
Lord of Apocalypse is an action RPG supporting one to four players. The game has character designs from Tsubasa Masao and will have a major voice cast that includes Shizuka Itou and Tomokazu Sugita (him again!). You'll be able to create a character using a character making feature.
The name "Lord of Apocalypse" may conjure up images of Square Enix's Lord of Vermilion arcade title. The game is said to have the same "world view" as that title. Without seeing the magazine, I'm not sure if this means it's set in the same world or it just has a similar style
Lord of Apocalypse is also due in 2011, but it's for both PlayStation Portable and PlayStation Vita.

We're just 30 minutes away from Sony's pre Tokyo Game Show press conference. If you'd like some surprises, close your browser and destroy your computer without reading further!
In addition to Square Enix's Armies of Hell and Lord of Apocalypse, which we covered earlier, Famitsu lists the following games this week, some previously announced, some new.
+ Ridge Racer: From Namco Bandai, planned for launch. This will support ad-hoc, infrastructure, 3G and Near.
+ Katamari Damacy no Vita: From Namco Bandai, planned for launch. The name is a play on "Nobita," or "extend." This time, you can apparently extend yourself by touching the screen. This skill can be used to apply your junk picking up skills (there has to be a word for that!) to small areas or large areas wherever appropriate.
+ Ninja Gaiden Sigma: This seems to be an updated port of the original. It will have a hero mode and additional weapons and costumes.
+ Browser Sangokushi: A free-to-download-and-play item transaction based game from AQ Interactive. I do believe this is the first free-to-play game announced for Vita.
+ Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3: Capcom is aiming to launch this fighter with Vita.
+ Shooting Game: A shooting game from Cave. That's not the actual name, of course. At least I don't think it is...
+ Shirotsuku DX: Also from Cave, this is based off their popular social title (yes, Cave makes social games in addition to hardcore shooters).
An image has popped up supposedly showing Sony's PlayStation Vita launch lineup. The new games mentioned in the list match the announcements in this week's Famitsu, so this looks like it could be legit.
