We have read the opinions and feedback that players have shared with the community.
It's hard to summarize them all, since there were so many, but we would like to highlight one in particular: "Currently, Vindictus is focusing on ATT too much". We agree.
This is due to the Vindictus Official Damage Formula. If ATT did not exceed DEF, the ATT damage would not be very effective.
After much discussion, we came to the conclusion that we should revamp the Formula.
In this Developer’s Note, we are going to tell you about the New Damage Formula. We will help you figure it out and explain why we've made this decision.

The table above refers to the damage caused when Fiona used the Amaranth Kick on Havan, the Season 2 Raid Monster.
(This test result depends on the Smash Mastery and Amaranth Kick skill ranks being identical.)
Previously, the character who had 16k ATT was 3 times bigger than the character who had 12k ATT. However, after the patch the difference will be, at the most, twice as big.
The damage varied drastically based on DEF before, but now it's been revamped so it won't vary as much as before.
For the characters who already have high ATT, there either will be a little bit of change or no change at all, but for those who have similar ATT with monsters' DEF, their ATT will be drastically increased.

The patch and the direction of Vindictus
We figured out the problem was that levelling up and enhancing characters to the minimum ATT requirements was too hard.
So, we are mainly focusing on decreasing the minimum ATT requirements in this patch.
We have also revamped for growing characters to have more efficient ATT through this patch.
Plus, it will be much easier to maintain the gap of ATT efficiency between characters who have reached the max level and characters who are still growing.
We had also mentioned in the last Developer's Note that it's hard to solve the problem of departing the ship while giving a limitation to users who want to play raid battles quickly.
Despite the fact that the gap has been narrowed, it's still true that higher level characters complete the battle much faster than other characters.
However, through this patch, we are expecting a better environment for 14k players to participate in the battle with party members, instead of not allowing 16k players to join.
And finally, this patch will be a good chance for players who were focusing too much on ATT to focus much more on Critical and ATT speed.
