I agree with Holy, Malaysia really have a stronger formation than us. they are really strong in any way. So I think we can't win them with our midfield.
In my opinion, I thinks This match we just think about a draw... I think 4-5-1 and play pressing .

Dear friends,

the problem is that also with a 4 men defense we will probably not able to beat their strong attackers!

So:

If we play with a 4-5-1 we will never score one and they sure will because their attack is still stronger than our defense.

If we play 5-4-1 we will have vẻy few possession. If we give Malaysia a 65% of possession (that means having 7 score opportunities!) they will surely score at least 2 on 7... And we will not score at all

A 4-4-2 is impossible bécause it has all the negative of both the above ( 4 men are too few for defense and 4 midfielders are too few for possession). Just give us some little more in attack but without possession it doesn't matter.

5-3-2 is worst than 5-4-1 and we don't have the players to play CounterAttack.

3-5-2 seems again to be the best choice again, but it's too easy for malaysian coach to understand how we would play.

3-4-3 could be good, but again 4 men are too few for possession so the 3 attackers would have not so much opportunities to score.

So the choice, in my opinion is: should we play again a 3-5-2 tactic with pressing as we did (well) against Suomi, also if Malaysian coach already knows this?
Or should we try an all-midfield-and-attack tactic (like 0-7-3 or something like this) hoping to score one more than Malaysia?

I really would like to know Your opinions about my reasoning and thoughts above...

Malaysia is a strong team so with any formation i am sure their chance will higher than our team.Most of formation and tactic,we only wish a draw and the chance is very small. So i think if our team can't ( hard) win or draw, why we don't use formations such as 0-7-3 with 5 inner midfield, 2 wing offensive, and 2 forward toward wing(we can use AOW + coach attack) .With this formation we still have hope can win them if lucky, however we can lose with bad resut but i think a loss 0-1 or 0-3 or 0-7 are the same.
If we wish a draw or a good result we can use 6-4-0 (coach defend, and play creative) with 4 inner midfield and don't use forwards.With this formation we will don't have any chance but we will still hope about special events in the game.
Final, the choice is your :D , but i want talk with you that if we lose everybody will don't have any complain but if we have a win, that is great thing and of course we alway hope our team win although we must play with a strong, very strong team.

Well, Bilgate, the situation is very easy: if the Malaysian coach is scared about us and plays a 3-5-2 tactic, there is no way for us, just luck and/or random.

BUT

Against the weaker teams he plays a 3-4-3 formation. If he has no fear about Viet Nam, so maybe he will do us a big favour... :;)
So I will probably play a tactic that will give us some winning opportunities if he plays a 3-4-3 tactic. It will be a big defeat if he will play a 3-5-2 tactic...

So: what does the Malaysian coach think? Is Viet Nam an easy team or a difficult team? We will know that within 24 hours...

I sure that malaysian will use 3-5-2 tactic. I can't agree with a negative tactic as 0-7-3 or 6-4-0.

If I was you in the situation I will use 2-5-3 tactic with two centre defender and 3 inner midfied (2 offensive) and 2 winger (defensive).

And, ofcause, the choise is your :D

Here we are my friends!!!!

Yesterday we could party for another great and easy win against Jamaica.
On the paper it was an easy game, but I was a little bit scared because of our low confidence due to the big defeat against Malaysia.

So, trying to score against their 4-men defense, I used 3 attackers, and we scored 3 times in few minutes... :D

Now I want to spend some words about the matches against Suomi and Malaysia...
As I already said I am very glad for the match we played against Suomi... We really did our best and we just loose the game becasue the opponents were too strong and we didn't have any chance without random help.

Different story for the match against Malaysia... I tried to boost up the midfield to have as much as possession it was possible, but they also crashed up our midfield, so we had a very hard defeat, and I didn't like that...

The only thing that should make us very glad and happy for this two matches, is that in both cases the Suomi and Malaysia coaches Played It Normal against us, and their tactics demonstrated a very great respect and fear of our team.
And while they Played It Normal, we both Played It Cool (with Jamaica too :D !!), so we have a quite good Team Spirit for the next very important match against Serbia...

It will be a very long week, so cross your finger and never forget to follow our great National Team!!!

but next match'd be the most important match. last time we had a tie so this time we have to do the best to have the best result against Serbia

I projected all our matches in view of the match against Serbia...
We will play our MOTS, and will have the home field advantage. They cannot MOTS because they still think they can qualify (the truth is they can't :p ).

I am studying the perfect tactic from weeks, now we just need a little bit of luck, because Serbia is still a stronger team than us...

Let's cross our fingers, we can do that!!!

Ok, my dear friends, the day has come!

In less than one hour the big match Vietnam-Serbia CG will start.
If we want to reach the 3rd place in our group, so we can have an easier draw in the next WC qualifications, we NEED to beat Serbia CG tonight!

So we will play our MOTS, that will boost our midfield together with the home field.
The Serbian coach, in the first match we tied in their home, made a big mítake playing 3-4-3 against us. I am sure he won't make the same error again! ::(

But I've prepared a little surprise for him...!!! :;) :D :D

So stay tuned, and FORZA VIETNAM!!!!

Hi wonderful people!

After some days of silence here I am again...
As You all know we lost the big match against a very strong Serbia, who also defeated Malaysia the following week...
We did our best, but it has been not enough... ::( ::(

Now let's go on... We have to make as more points we can to climb the world ranking, so we hope that in the next WC draw we will be a 3rd level team íntead of a 4th level as we were this time...

Any way I can say I am satisfied about how things are going... We won all the matches we had to win until know, and we also made a spectacular point in the first match against Serbia... Hope to close as better as we can this WC, and after it a very important A-Pack Cup will start for us... :D

In the meantime, this week we don't play the WC, so I arranged a friendly match against Iceland...

Why don't You write some opinions about our team, our results, our players, our future? I would like to hear Your voices...

Hallo!!!

As every week here I am to talk to You about tonight's match of our National Team...
We play a quite impossible game against the top team of Suomi... ::(

I took a long look to their matches, and I discovered they usually have problems against 4-5 men defenses, and against pressing tactic...
So I decided to play a 4-4-2 match, with 4 defenders, 4 inner midfielders and 2 attackers, playing pressing.

We will need a miracle to win, but never say never... :wink:

we get 1% of change to win this match so but play with ya best no pressure maybe in 1 of our advantage and i hope suomi a letter bit look down o us and play with 2nd team it maybe our change but anyway u did a lot for us those our ht still new so not many good player hope that next yeah will see ya in nd ruond

ohoh...... 5-0.... its an utter defeated.... we havent strong enough to against Suome.... our midfield's just exellent(+), Suome's titanic(--), its quite a distance, so its no way to defeat or even draw with them........ therefor, to get ready for the next match( against Malaysia whose has outstanding(++) midfield) we'd better increase our midfield further than exellent.....
 
Well... It has been an hard defeat...

But I have to say I really didn't understand what happened yesterday...

Ok, I knew they had a so string midfield, that's why I played with 4 Inner Midfielders and tried to use the pressing tactic... And it worked once too... We collected for the first time 90 stars, so we played the best we could...

What I really didn't understand is that they had a 64% of ball possession, and this means the score opportunities should have been divided in 7 opportunities for Suomi and 3 opportunities for Vietnam...
Insted the score opprtunities for Suomi have been 9!!!! :-/

And another thing too...
They scored 3 times with their left attack against our right defense, and that's ok because they were stronger there...
But they also scored 2 times with their central attack against our central defense, because their center attack was a low worldclass while our central defense was a very high titanic...:-/

That's to say that we lost the match and that's ok, because Suomi is far too strong for us, but the 5-0 defeat as been unlucky... VERY unlucky... A 3-1 defeat was much more normal... ::(

Anyway, we Played It Cool against Suomi, of course, so now we can play against Malaysia with 2 more levels of midfield thanks to Team Spirit, and another more level because we play home, while their midfield should lower a level because playing away...
Also this time we would need some luck but the difference between us and Malaysia will be lower than the difference against Suomi...
