The online games market in Southeast Asia is growing exponentially. Total concurrency - the common measure of a game’s popularity for a top online game in Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam exceeds 350,000, according to estimates by IAH. This is about half the 630,000 concurrency for a top online game in China. Gamers in these Southeast Asian countries spend between US$5 and US$15 playing online games each month.

With this strong funding position, IAH is well-placed to consolidate the online games market in Southeast Asia, which is experiencing explosive growth. According to a study on the online games market in Asia Pacific excluding Japan released by IDC in 2006, the region’s market is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate of 21% from 2006 to 2010 reaching US$3.6 billion by 2010. This represents a huge share of the worldwide online games market, which is forecasted to grow from US$3.4billion in 2005 to over US$13 billion in 2011, according to a report released by DFC Intelligence in 2006
