This build (6/34/21) is best for PVP in small scale like 2-2 3-3 5-5 10-10. It has enough survivality as well as burst damage to deal with any opponents. I did sucessfully (always on Top) employ this build 2 years ago when Warsong, Basin first introduced. Now it's the same case with Arena.
Full destruction branch is best for PVP in large scale because even you lack of kiting spells but your teammate will cover you anyway. Your combination of burst spells > Mages but worse than them in kiting.
34 Demon + Affliction as minor is the always the best for soloing, especially in duel. I did use this build for very long time and mastered my warlock skills with this till the day I could not find any rivals can beat my build so I quitted the game. It's a great build to try for any one who likes soloing.
Full Affliction and some minor in Destruction is great too. It's balancing both PVP and PVE. But anyway, it's can not drive you to the BEST because it's just balanced. It's good for various playstyles and easy to play either. If you want to do some soloing or dueling, you have to pick up FEL CONCENTRATION though. It's a must. Yes, you can live without it but you can't not duel or 1-1 WELL if you throw it away, trust me or not.
Health Funnel 2/2 is not a trash spell by the way. It's useful when you specc to 34Demon and minor in Affliction. In duel, a GOOD Warrior or Paladin always want to target your pet first because you specc to SoulLink. There is no way to save your Pet w/o Health Funnel 2/2. Again, this 2 points are good ONLY when you use Pet INTENSIVELY.
Finally, as Nesta said, the most suitable build for you is the build you experience it in your own way. But if you do have a RIGHT build order and know the pros and cons of it, you can play much better than you used to be.
