Plot Summary:
In a crime-ridden future Japan, Kyohei Tachibana is a peaceful student at a culinary school, dreaming of going to France for advanced study as a patissier (pastry chef). To afford the trip, he accepts a part-time job as private cook to a strange group of women - Sei, Meg, Jo and Amy. To Kyohei's astonishment, they turn out to be a band of violent mercenaries, and he finds himself in the line of fire.

Plot Summary : Sousuke Sagara, a seventeen year old military specialist working for the secret organization MITHRIL, has been assigned to protect the latest "Whispered" candidate Kaname Chidori. Dumbo

A perfect film. The design is beautiful and deceptive in its simplicity. While it may lack the overstuffed quality of `Pinocchio' or the abstract one of `Fantasia,' the style of `Dumbo' is elegant, vivid, and occasionally grotesque in ways that recall not only classic circus posters but also Paul Cadmus paintings and vintage `New Yorker' cover art.
In fact, the entire production has a hint of nostalgia about it; for all its dark story elements, the film presents a rosy-hued portrait of old America (with Casey Junior cheerfully pulling his traveling circus through green open fields) that must have seemed very comforting as audiences prepared for the unforeseeable terrors of another World War. (A `Dumbombers for Defense' poster in the film's epilogue is the one joking reference to an increasingly unsteady world situation.)
In the midst of this cozy landscape, we find a simple, tender story about acceptance and mother love, with the characters of both Dumbo and Mrs. Jumbo finding a wonderful eloquence in their muteness. These performances are true triumphs of animation. The other characters, both good and bad, are painted with broad, memorable strokes. It's become fashionable to look rather harshly upon the Jim Crow sequence and all its uncomfortable associations, and it can be difficult for a modern audience to watch it without cringing slightly.
But it should be pointed out that the crows are not only the film's cleverest characters (both in terms of thought and language), they are also the only ones except Timothy to show any sympathy whatsoever to the little elephant; after all, they are outsiders themselves. 
The sequence is a play on a stereotype, that can't be denied, but I would argue that it is an attempt to revise that stereotype into something positive and sympathetic. The songs and score are flawless, and the show-stopping, nightmarish pink elephant sequence keeps things from getting too artistically conservative--and, just like the rest of the film, it still thrills us no matter how many times we have seen it. 10 out of 10.

The Chronicles of Riddick - Dark Fury

Dark Fury picks up right where Pitch Black ended, with Riddick, Jack and Imam being captured by mercenaries, the leader of whom has some strange and sadistic intentions in regards to Riddick. In a bit of a baffling business move, Universal decided to release this after The Chronicles of Riddick.
If they had released it a week or two earlier, some of the questions posed in Riddick that confused a good number of people would have been clearly answered. 
This short gives us the answer of some key events that occurred in the five years between Pitch Black and The Chronicles of Riddick, as well as some insight into why Riddick, Jack and Imam interact the way they do in CoR. It also introduces the character Toombs, who plays a key role in Riddick's plight. 

Aside from its value as an answer provider, Dark Fury is also a highly entertaining piece of animation. The graphics are top notch, the storyline is interesting, and the action is very well done.
The plot moves along at a quick pace and it is a lot of fun to watch Riddick kick some @$$ in animated form. I highly recommend seeing this before watching The Chronicles of Riddick, not only is it a good movie but it also explains some key elements of the story.

Cinderella 2

The movie explores Cinderella's "happily ever after" life as a princess in 3 stories, with help from the Fairy Godmother. First, Cinderella's awkward first days at the palace, when she tried so hard to fit in that she forgot to be herself. Second, how Jaq felt so left out that he wished to be a human. Third, how Cinderella taught one of her nasty step-sisters how to smile which leads to her own true love. 

Well, the big money machine has done it again! Disney very shrewdly takes advantage of morons like myself who feel we must own every video (good or bad) stamped with the Disney moniker. Why is it that I continue to look forward to these "sequels" which make Don Bluth on a bad day look like Leonardo DaVinci? Cinderella 2 consists of three storylines (already a poor choice!)
Doesn't one of the most endearing Disney creations at least deserve a linear story? Of these three, only the last comes anywhere near the quality of animation and storytelling that I would expect. The music is atrocious and modern (meaning in 2 years it will already be dated) and adds nothing to the story. 
Why does everything have to be updated? You know, the original cartoon is still popular because of its timelessness, so why not be respectful and true to the original with songs that reflect the same style? Gee, I can't wait for a sequel to Sleeping Beauty. Instead of music based on the themes of Tchaikovsky, we'll get music inspired by Britney Spears!!! 
So Disney, if you're listening, remember we're not all indiscriminate children out here. How about throwing a bone or two to the fans who've been around long enough to know the difference between craft and crap?

Shrek is an awesome movie! Based in the ordinary fairy tales,the main thing here is to break the rules and the enchantment of those stories and show it all in a different way; Why the prince needs to be so perfect?
Why the princess needs to be so beautiful?Why they need to live in a perfect castle?Why can't the royals be problematic?
All of these answers are more than answered in Shrek. By the way, this is a movie with lots of humor. :)So, be prepare to laugh. (Donkey is annoying, but the biggest part of the fun comes from him!)

Ps: All the cast is great as well. I already know Eddie Murphy's and Mike's(Myers)abilities as comedians,but I could never imagine that Cameron Diaz could be so perfect to do Fiona! Her voice is really cute, and I really cannot imagine a better one for Fiona ,than Cameron Diaz 's voice!

Magic, adventures, laughs, love... This film has everything mixed, and the result is quite good! The film is about the classic tale of "Aladdin and the magic lamp", so the story is well known by everybody. Despite it is for children, the quality of the characters is very good, the story, though predictable and typical, results interesting and, which is more important, it males us to spend a good hour and a half. The songs (typical in Disney) never are boring, and are surprisingly well mixed with images. In addition, action scenes are well ended and most characters are very charismatic. Aladdin is sympathetic form the beginning and most secondary characters are simply perfect. The "acting" of the Genius is superb in his strangeness and absurd, and Yafar is well remembered as one of the "best" bad ones of the history of cinema. It exhales an immense aura of evilness hardly ever seen in a movie... To sum up, one of the best (maybe the best) Disney film made, which everything to have a nice afternoon with your children or just spending a nice time laughing and remembering when you were a child.

Let's face it: this movie is not as good as the first one, even if it's not a bad movie, but... the first one will always be the first one! This sequel doesn't have the same magic of the first one and the colors of the movie and the characters have lost some quality comparing to the first one. Oh yeah, and the songs of this movie are not so good and memorable, unlike the first one. It's not just that, it's a little bit of everything else...

I liked the idea of Iago turning a "good-guy". He was a villain in the first movie, but now he helps his "ex-enemies" to fight against Jafar. He escapes from the lamp but, besides helping, he also has the ambition of having power. That's what he wants to be: powerful.

Jafar is destroyed in the end thanks to Iago. Even injured the parrot was brave and fearless.

This movie is not just about the return of Jafar; it's also about the return of Iago and the blue genie. It also shows us the new life of Aladdin, in the palace with the beautiful princess Jasmine.

On the other hand, I don't want to see the third movie, because I don't believe it can be any good.

Chibi Maruko chan is the nickname of a sweetly obnoxious 9-year-old girl. She tricks her grandfather, ponders for hours over how to spend her allowance, and hates sitting next to ugly boys. She talks, feels and lives just as real kids do.

As the second term commences, Maruko and her classmates return to their small groups. Maruko’s group includes two naughty boys and Maruko is forced to be one of their subordinates. She seems to face a lot of pressure at school.

The action is never stop....................

The year is 2131 and Deunan Knute walks a desolate planet, the result of a non-nuclear war. Along with other soldiers, she continues to fight, unaware that the war is over. When she wakes up in Olympus after being ambushed by a helicopter attack, Deunan feels relaxed and safe. Olympus is the new world order and the center of civilization. But Deunan soon realizes that over half the population are Bioroids, clones that are Olympus' model citizens. Deunan also discovers that her ex-lover Briareos, is over 75% cyborg and seems to have few feelings left for her at all. Suddenly, what once seemed to be the perfect refuge now holds its own set of dangers and Deunan finds herself on the brink of a battle for humanity.

Appleseed is based on the manga sci-fi epic masterpiece by Masamune Shirow. Most serious sci-fi literature fans would put his work up with the ranks of Asimov, William Gibson and Philip K Dick. So the very attempt at trying to make a movie with the vision but believably engrossing world that was though up by Shirow is a massive effort that could have gone horribly wrong. Appleseed is one of the projects that he did before Ghost In the Shell and it is beloved by hard core Manga and Anime fans around the world.

The filmmakers had to make some hard choices about what to include and what not to include in a normal slightly long movie script. They had to make a new storyline with elements from the first two chapters of the Appleseed storyline with some new angles and interpretations. If the just made the script from the comic it would have been weeks long and would be dense and incomprehensible for the average viewer. When I first saw the restructuring of the story it did bring a bad taste to the mouth but when I saw the movie as a whole I could live with the changes. I am a bit biased in that I am intimately familiar with the context and subject of the manga storyline and it would be hard to gage how a viewer would grasp the hard and fast philosophical ethics in the movie.
Rated: R for violence and character death.
